Buying directly from Poptoys / Popcostume?

Both companies sell some products on their own website, which isn't something I've seen a lot. They also are separate companies with separate products despite the similar names - however their websites look extremely similar which makes me think that they're run by the same people.

Anyone ever bought directly from either website?

yes, I have bought from them. The payment process is convoluted (place order or poptoys site, get order number, make payment on paypal site using that order number, etc.). I did have to dispute the transaction in order to complete it as well. But in the end I got what was advertised, so they are legit.

Also do you remember the Paypal account you send the money to? I get a message that says something like "The seller cannot accept payments at this time" when I try and pay through paypal on their website, and when I try and send money to their email account through the paypal website

I sent the money to this account: [email protected]

It took a lot of emails to another account to get that email address. I disputed the charge as there was no movement for 6 weeks or so. Once I disputed it, things went very fast
