Ann yes, the great moments of the last 12 months... CBG and the great eBay droids exclusive debacle and the 1/6 Boba Fett life vest situation...

Finally cracked open my EX to check for damage and i really like these. My 1.5 year old son has one of the R2's that are like 1:2 or 1:3 scale that does voice commands he's played with since he was born and i showed him them when I opened them and he went crazy about R2! R2!....might just have to keep them. :)

Great statues....I do like the regular more though.

Congrats Vader AL!
Make sure your son doesn't get a hold of this one. :D

Thanks man. :hi5:

Nope, everything is out of his reach.....these are boxed though. still thinking about keeping them though.

I created a rule for myself... if you're not sure about a piece, you're better off not buying it. If you do, they're usually the first to go up for sale.

My waitlist converted on me and shipped before I knew what had happened...didn't mean to buy it. I was going to buy the regular at some point though.

You guys think this worth the $750 they asking for? I receive mine and I think they look beautiful, but I'm really sad with the plastic R2-D2 it really feels like a toy not a $750 statue. I really don't know what to do if to send it back or keep it. What you guys think. I guess is a lot of money. But is really eye catching beautiful piece

I think only you can decide if it's worth the cost. Personally, I only touch my statues when I dust them or re-arrange them on the shelves, so the weight is a non-factor. There was a bit of a hub-bub over the weight of the Boba Fett PF also, and that is still one of my favorite pieces. The R2 stacks up favorably to the other PFs in the line from strictly a visual perspective, which is what matters to me.

Agreed! X2

Try to be objective in your decision making over the fate of these droids. Weight really has no bearing on these "display" pieces as plastic is the best way to get consistent details in a mass production run. I bet C-3PO is just heavier (according to feedback here) because it required a skeleton for articulation and R2-D2 does not.
How about shafting a few lead rods up R2s *** and then holding it to see if you like it then....... ok maybe not literally but something along the line of that ...... to help you judge this pieces objectively and based on what actually counts. Oh and turn on the lights while you are at it.
If you can still look R2 in the eyes and tell him that he is a skinny anorexic ....... Then part your ways :'(
