As far as I knew 3PO had a silver leg in the OT, but I'm not completely sure about Episode 3. I would have to go back watch the films to be completely sure though. Your custom still looks fantastic Mooncat!

ok making the plunge, but before I mask of the rest of the body can anyone tell me is it his bottom leg thats silver or are the sides of the knee joints silver too ? can tell from this pic ?

that his whole knee, piston and all, is silver. The gold piece you see on the knee is attached to the thigh.

In ANH, I don't think I noticed it until they got to the medal ceremony at the end where he's all cleaned up.
