there is no sufficient time to judge a game. i just feel that you barely played multiplayer enough to really warrant saying COD4, which Infinity Ward people helped this game to be developed even though it's not made by them, is a far superior game.

so I'll ask again Karma, tell me why, in your opinion, COD4 is far more superior than COD: WAW?

there is no sufficient time to judge a game. i just feel that you barely played multiplayer enough to really warrant saying COD4, which Infinity Ward people helped this game to be developed even though it's not made by them, is a far superior game.

better automatic weapons, nightvision, more accessible to beginners as you don't need bomb squad to see claymores etc

The campaign story is better in COD 4 but in WAW it just seems random moments in history pieced together

Guns in COD4 reload faster, and you can have a silenced sniper rifle with laser scope

COD WAW is a good shooter but just another WWII shooter, COD4 changed the genre




This all started of by you saying I barely played the game giving the impression as if I had only played it 2 days or something

I had this game for 3 months & levelled up to 24

I'd say it was an informed opinion

You realize though that W@W is fairly spot on to the era though right? The weapons weren't as good back then. Hence the technology that has come up in the last 70 years since the start of WW2. So W@W should be a bit tougher as the weaponry wasn't as advanced. Again with the betty's you can't see them in real life so being able to see them in the game is actually getting away from whats real and I'm pretty sure you can't see claymores either in real life. Well, you shouldn't be.

I disagree about the story totally. Both are about the same and pretty random. Heck in COD4 you're that American guy for one level before dying which was pretty dumb.

How exactly did COD4 change the genre? Because you're using modern items? Its no different than any other FP shooter just using today's stuff. Which is easier to use because of the tech. I think you even can be less accurate in killing folks on COD 4 than W@@ with the guns.

Thats why I think its equal to COD4. It is accurate and war was harder then than it is now.

That's true which is why I stick to games. However, I don't think there should be a perk to see betty's nor should you be able to see claymores unless they're planted in the middle of an open room.

Its mostly set in the pacific this time period which there was fighting going on there as well. So its going to be the same in that regard. COD4 is the same game just set in modern times.

They found a new way to set up the MP system. I don't know if I'd call that changing the genre. As there is always someone tweaking things making it better. There system isn't anything that we haven't seen similar in other games just tweaked.

but, the points you made do not make it any better. it's the same game with different weapons... because guess what, it's based during WWII, with historically accurate weaponry. Just like COD4 has accurate weaponry for modern times.

It's all the same.
