Can someone explain the popularity of Aayla Secura for me?

She had like 20 seconds of total screen time, never uttered a word of dialogue and her crowning achievement was getting shot in the back by clonetroopers, yet people really seem to want a 1/6 figure of her from SSC. Does she have some fascinating EU backstory or something, or is it just that she's a hot blue chick with big ****s?

I think she was just about the only Jedi female that wasn't covered in alien makeup. (OK, OK, Depa Billaba...) Fans looking to have a crush on a Jedi chick pretty much had little other choice.

is it just that she's a hot blue chick with big ****s?

this is it exactly. it's geeky fanboyism at it's worst.:google

i have no problem with her or kit fisto getting made, but there are at least 50 figres i'd rather have first.

Besides the sex appeal, she's also like the only Jedi not in exactly the same outfit as the rest. It's one of the annoying things in Star Wars, Obi Wan is introduced as a hermit living in the desert, and he's dressed in appropriate clothing: earthen colored flowing robes. But somewhere along the line Lucas forgets that and makes it the Jedi uniform, despite there being no reason for everyone else to dress that way.

The appeal of Star Wars isn't just about interesting characters. But also includes attractive looking costumes. And Aayla definitely falls within that category!:naughty

I actually became a big fan of Aayla through her and Quinlan Vos' backstory as it played out in the Star Wars comics. Her continued appearances in the Clone War-era comics made her one of my favorite characters. I'm aware that I'm in the minority in this, but a Jedi like Aayla or Kit hold far, far more interest for me than someone along the lines of Vader or Solo.

Well, I kinda like her too (and am female so the big ****s thing is less of a drawcard for me.) ;) But that's probably just because I've been following the comic series. She gets quite a lot of time there, and I like her character. I'd totally buy a figure of her. I like her better than Padme. :D

I was also miffed at seeing the hermit robes turned into the Jedi uniform! And especially when they started flying spaceships in those huge cloaks... a bit of a missed opportunity, it seemed. But then Yoda had that kind of a hermit robe even as far back as ESB, and along the line someone explained that the idea is the same as with the Franciscan Friars. So I was sold. Kinda.

Anyway. Aayla. Is it so wrong to have a 12" fig you actually love to look at? She's elegant, pretty, has a wonderful personality, costume, Twi'lek tentacles, and ****s. Having her figure around just isn't on par with having whichever else alien out there. Even your non-geeky friends will see what the appeal is!

The Hasbro Unleashed Aayla is one of the few SW figs I own at the moment, and I love every inch of it. For purely aesthetic reasons.

:D :D :D :D :D

Paging Mini-Rock.....

I've never understood the love for this character either, although the actress herself (Amy Allen) is hot when not in alien garb.

It's the same as Slave Leia. Chick in kimpy clothes. And I never thought Carrie Fisher was that hot to begin with. Now her momma Natalie Portman :naughty

She's even hotter in person.
