I've often thought about "When I'm done..."

When I get closer to that point, some company comes out with something that sparks my interest. And when that happens I fall off the wagon.

Another satisfying thought occurs when I'm looking at pics of other people's collections and I marvel at them. Then I realize that "I" own most everything in their collection and I am satisfied.

To reason my collecting habits, I dont smoke, drink excessively, party too hard, or blow my $ on gambling or porn. Now I feel better.

You should start a "Show Your Shelves" thread.

People still pay for porn? Why? Its available for free on far more sites than those that expect you to pay membership. Both full streaming vids and short saveable mpgs etc.

I never bought ANY of this stuff until they started making it!
I raised my child, put her through a respectable University, Paid for her wedding and helped her get started with her own home. My wife of 30 years has her own hobbies and tolerates if not encourages me to indulge in mine. I work 10 hour days, pay my bills on time and don't drink more than I can handle like a gentleman. I don't care what other people think of my collection's because at the end of the day that is between me and God. :lightnin And so far He has not objected.
To each his own, and this is mine!

Hit the nail on the head there. There are a hell of a lot worse things to be addicted to. :lecture

True ... but, ideally, one would not be addicted to anything. And, spending/ shopping addictions (which is what this likely would be characterized as) can be extremely damaging to the extent that you're spending more than you can afford, lying to a spouse to hide spending (financial infidelity), or going into debt (because the only thing worse than buying a $200 figure you can't afford is a $200 figure +20% interest for the rest of your life).
