I just went on a canceling spree. And damn did it feel good. I have spent way to much money in the last couple months, even by my own standards.

I must get a hold on my spending when it comes to collectibles. Not to mention I am quickly nearing 100 1/6 scale figures, which is insane. I will run out of room sooner than later and I NEED to slow to F down:lol

Since I moved I dont even have shelves, yet I keep buying more and more. I cant even display a 10th of what I have.

So anyway, Just thought I would share my glee of cancellations.

What bit the dust.

All the new AVP stuff from HTs.
Shawn of the Dead figs from SS.
Takara Batman
Revoltech Starscream & Hotrod
PotC Will Turner

i just cancelled some items recently and i still got over $1000 on preorder for the first 2 quarters. the problem is that even though there is 6 months in the first 2 quarters im sure most of that stuff is gonna ship at the same damn time. i hate that!!

I know what you mean, even with all that I canceled I am in the exact same boat as you, over $1000 in the first 2 quarters:monkey4

Next year, all I'm waiting on are:

Thor vs. Loki
Robocop PF
Stealth (thanks to special someone)

Actually, i just added up my first 2 quarters and my pre-orders add up to $865, no including shipping. So I guess its a little better than I thought:lol

For now.

It's sad to have to cancel stuff. Especially the non-Star Wars stuff, since right now all I've gotten is Star Wars figures I've had a couple of non-Star Wars orders that I've had to cancel so I might never get into other lines if this keeps happening. We'll see what happens when the Hobbits start shipping and Indy starts to preorder.

I always feel dirty when I cancel. I usually only cancel so that I can afford other Sideshow stuff or order the same product from a reseller. Sideshow ends up with my money either way, but I still feel kinda dirty when I do it.

the trick is to cancel stuff that you know will still be easy to get later on. however im not canceling any more of my stuff. i want all of it even if it all ships on the same day and the UPS truck has to back up into my garage and spend the day unloading.

King you just inspired me. I just canceled the below items:

Scout Trooper PF
Both Hot Toys RE4 Jack Krauser figures
Salacious Crumb Life Size Statue

"Canceling", like many members here, has become a daily ritual for me. :lol

I do this almost every other month just because I've gotten into the habit of pre-ordering everything and then just keeping the items I "must" have.

Just recently I had to cancel Darkness just because I couldn't afford it right now. Now, like everybody else, I'm getting shipping notices left and right from SS. There's just no way I'll be able to afford all of these items so soon it'll be time once again to cancel a few more items. :monkey2

It always does feel good though once you cancel an item. It almost feels like a weight has been lifted off of your shoulders. The problem is that you cancel something and the next week you end up preordering something else and then the cycle continues. :monkey1

only keep what you can afford. lord knows a ham sandwich tastes better than a darkness unicorn horn. i have been buying some stuff lately but christmas has taken it's toll so no more new orders in 2008 until i'm caught up with the bills.

NOOOOOOO!!!

I can definitely understand PoTC, Shaun of the Dead, and Takara Bats, but Transformers and AVP:R = :monkey2

At least get Wolf Predator and the Revoltech stuff :monkey3 :D

Congrats on canceling though, it does feel good when needed.

The Golden Rule of Canceling:

NEVER, never cancel ANYTHING until you get a 15-20 day notice. You'd be surprised just what you can keep if you didn't cancel it. This rule applies even more to Sold Out items.
