Lookin goooood! But oh how i wish the gloves and boots were red. That would make it perfect for me. At least it's a reddish brown :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Looks effin great. He even has an added red stripe on the abs. Best suit yet for him!

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Just the mere fact that we're being presented with a Captain freaking America costume and no one is laughing at it shows how far Marvel has come.

XMFC shows me how far backwards Fox has gone. :lol

At least Cap and Spidey can be invited to the cool costume party. Not the sad, boring, drab party at the x-men mansion.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Director Joe Russo talks about Steve Rogers' S.H.I.E.L.D. costume.

"It was about a real world grounding approach to the character, in the spirit of Ed Brubaker's book, which is postmodern and deconstructionist and a grounded thriller," co-director Joe Russo tells SFX. "We wanted to put Cap in a space where he's a special forces operative for SHIELD who goes on missions around the world that are clandestine and sometimes require a certain level of anonymity or stealth. We wanted to use his Super Soldier outfit from the comic books as a way to represent, thematically, his place in the world of SHIELD and the difference between working for SHIELD and being Captain America. That's something that gets explored on a very concrete level in terms of what outfits are used in the film. We didn't feel like we were messing with the icon. People can say that they’re fans of the books if they're only loyal to the '60s and '70s version of the character – well, then you're a fan of that version of the character, but if you've been reading the books till the current runs then this is a journey that the character goes on and it’s a pretty explicit journey. We just felt like we were being faithful to the more recent issues of the books. The movie has a very thematic component in terms of the use of costumes. When you come to see the film I think you'll understand why we made the choice we made…"

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I think once it was revealed he'd be "re-donning" the TFA suit, the SHIELD suit became a non-issue as most of us got what it represented.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Both suits in this movie look significantly better than his Avengers suit.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Overall I think the Cap suits have looked great. I wish they went more militaristic on the Avengers version (Like the Ultimates one) than the Superhero look.

The SHIELD version has grown on me and the more I see it, the more I like it. Especially after seeing the trailers and feeling out the "tone" of this movie I think it works out perfectly. It is awesome that he puts on the First Avenger suit again though!

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I guess I'll never get the hate for the Avengers suit. It looks like his comic book suit. I don't get why that's a bad thing, but everybody seems to rag on it so much, I guess I just have to accept the fact that I'm missing something. :dunno

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I like all the suits, but I have to admit that the new one is by far the best.

The ones I don't like at all are Thor's, rubber rubber rubber, or leathery looking.

I like 'em all too. Just not a fan of the strap and exposed neck.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I don't think I'll ever be able to see him in these movie "helmets" and not just immediately see a kid at comic con wearing a Rubies costume. His head is an undefined glob, his jawline is a heavy set 4th graders, stuff shoving it all into a child's sand pail.

Without it twoards the end of the Avengers Battle he looked great. With it on, all I can think constantly is what a dork.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

The helmet (and dorky pale chin) in Avengers was a big fail.

And while I enjoy Evans as Cap, his thin physique is what made the suit look awkward in Avengers, not the design.

Without the helmet he looked ok in Avengers.

His Shield suit looks good, he looks thicker.
