Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

So can anyone please explain the special paint job on Caps stealth shield? Does he have more then one shield now since he was so willing to let it fall in the lake or what ever in the end? Im sure they went fishing for it.

I think if shield can build floating aircraft carriers and destroyer tech guns then it could possibly have the means to create new shields :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

This new Cap movie ROCKED! The fight scenes were incredibly intense and action packed. The WS was pitch perfect. I took my Cuz to see it on Thursday and then took my wife and kids to see it on Friday. Everyone loved it. The Avengers is still at the top of my list of most loved Marvel movies but this movie bumped IM out of the number 2 spot for me. It's nice to see Cap finally be the soldier he was trained to be. I'm very much looking forward to AoU next.

Would guess they've found more Vibranium in the 70 odd years Cap was frozen....

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

well the shield is one of a kind and its made of vibranium the toughest and rarest metal on earth, but the paint is just paint it chipped and scratched off in the past, so i figure they just changed the paint for his stealth mission and fished it out at the end keeping in mind that where the shield dropped used to be the pads where the helicarrier came from, the water was set there intentionally to cover their locations... so yeah they fished it out

They're not gonna repaint it every time he has a covert mission :lol

Why not? I feel that would be a 5 second job for SHIELD. They can paint his shield while he is being debriefed and while he "suits up"

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

IM3 is an even worse movie for me after Cap 2.

There are 2 Marvel movies in the top 10 of worldwide gross, Avengers and IM3.

I would love to replace IM3 with Cap 2.

Cap 2 deserves to be there.

That movie has raised the bar.

Evans is now as much Cap as RDJ is IM.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

:horror :horror :horror

I'm going for my 4th since Thursday. :lol

That's because you're a movie beast!!!! :rock :lol

I'll probably only make it to one showing though. If it's good enough, I'll try for a second showing. Heck, I think I only saw ASM once in theaters and you know I'm a huge fan of that, so it speaks volumes that I'm even making it for Cap. :lol Movie looks great. Can't wait.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I save all winter for the summer movie season. :lol

This spring/summer its only Cap, ASM2, X-Crap, GOTG and Godzilla for me.

Besides, I don't buy popcorn, soda or candy at the theaters which extends my viewings even more.

One popcorn and soda pays for the next visit.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I get addicted to that darn popcorn and then, I get water, but the darn water costs as much as the other stuff. It's like $5ish! But yeah, it adds up.

Godzilla is definitely on my radar. It'll be refreshing to see a movie like that on the big screen. I really enjoyed Pacific Rim and I hope this blows it out of the water.

Agree on all counts. But, don't forget about Guardians of the Galaxy!

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Marvel was well aware of the lack of Cap action in both the quantity and quality departments in TFA and Avengers.

WS fights were filmed more up close and brutal than the cgi round house kicks from Avengers:

Yeah, it's tough to beat a well done REAL fight scene, no matter how good the CGI is.

We've been talking about this over in the figure threads. Cap has just one shield but apparently he covers the red circles on it with blue adhesive strips for night missions. When he returns stateside he peels off the blue to restore the shield to its original colors.
