She seems to have some minor psychic and telekenetic powers from what I could tell. But nothing on the order of Phoenix, who ate planets and could kick Galactus's ass! And no Molecule Man/Firestorm-type powers, either.

She made about a dozen Ultron sentries disintegrate in an outcry. I think we have a hint of what she is capable of.

Yeah, I'm pretty damn sure that was not telekinesis. PLUS, she can warp reality like that when she's in great distress. So that's how I always took that. I really hope we really get to see more of her reality warping in CW though. She's still learning her powers and I hope they show that.

It's totally consistent with telekinetic powers to do something like that. Just a raw expansion of kinetic energy. Not molecular transmogrification. Maybe they will make her something much more powerful in the future movies but again, not in the same league as Phoenix from what we've seen.

CIVIL WAR Will Dive Into How Scarlet Witch's Powers Work

Avengers-3D-Scarlet-Witch.jpg

Besides diving into the connection between Vision and Scarlet Witch in Civil War, the film will also explain how Scarlet Witch's powers work. Wanda obtained her abilities through the Mind gem experimentations of Hydra scientist Baron von Strucker, but what she can actually do is still hazy. More specifically, Age of Ultron didn't exactly establish what are the limits of her powers. Apparently, she can entrance individuals and give them glimpses of the future as seen by her systematic dismantling of The Avengers in AoU. But it appears the question will be whether these prophetic vision will only show dark futures or whether Scarlet Witch's visions can give glimpses of brighter things to come. In additon to this abilit, SW can also levitate objects and rip them apart as seen by her destruction of Ultron's robotic soldiers. Lastly, she was also able to dish out energy projecticles in the film. Heck, the only thing she was missing in Age of Ultron was super strength and flig. Well, the trailer for Captain America: Civil War has reveled that Scarlet Witch has added flight abilities to her already impressive arsenal. So just what exactly are the limits of her abilities and how do her powers work?

Elizabeth Olsen teased, "We find Scarlet Witch without a home, without a family, and she ends up creating a surrogate family within the Avengers and making a decision to be a part of the team. I think a lot of that has to do with Jeremy’s character – like his attitude towards her and the speech he gives her at the end of the film. So we pick up with her having started a new life, but still trying to figure out what her abilities are and if using them causes greater good or greater damage."

Director Joe Russo added, "We like characters that have limitations to their powers, so there’s a cost for everything that they do. Wanda can’t fly, she can use her power to push herself off, launch and then bring herself back down. But she has to stop herself and it’s not the most graceful version of flying. It’s just using her power to create energy to push herself up and bring herself down, but she’s still subject to gravity."

Civil War arrives in US theates on May 6.

This is not accurate, AOU ended with her in the air coming down for a landing. Floating/Flying....same ****.

Like a political commercial, cool....just what we need more in our lives. :lol

I just don't buy into why they're going to fight, not yet anyway.

Hell, I don't even get why Batman hates Superman.

Ok, so his building came tumbling down killing all his employees.

Hasn't the argument all along from the MOS supporters in this forum been that Superman saved the entire human species by unfortunately having to sacrifice a few hundred thousand to a few millions?

So SSF members can comprehend that but not Batman? :lol

**** all these vs movies and their dumb reasonings. :lol

Looking forward to the new trailer.

It's going to be pretty personal, from what I can gather, with Bucky at the centre of things. I'm sure it'll make perfect sense when we get the whole film.

And as for Batman, it's more to do with what Superman COULD do as a pose to what he HAS done. Supes could turn the entire planet into rubble if he so pleased, and that's what gets to him.

I'm teaching myself how to relax and not be a super geek by going into these movies already disappointed.

That way if they're bad I won't drive home with road rage. :lol

I can't go thru again what I went thru opening night for TFA. :lol
