Holy crap dude I was absolutely giving him Raiden's hat!

Holy crap! :lol :yess:

Finally watched this last night. It's a good movie but it's not the masterpiece everyone says it is. I still stand by the opinion that for a 'civil war' movie some of the characters should have died.

Spider-Man and Black Panther were both great. It's refreshing going forward to have new characters in future Avengers movies - it freshens it up.

Still don't get Barton's decision to bail on his family and join the fight?...

For me the masterpiece part are comes in with the fight choreography in TWS and CW.

Easier said than done, as any other superhero movie.

TWS/CW stand alone in that department.

Flat out wrong, go watch the BW fight scene and Bucky Cap fight scenes just to name 2 set pieces.

Besides eventually cgi has to be used since these are superheros afterall and even that part they got right.

People can bash the narratives in these movies all they want but the action set pieces, real or otherwise, have raised the bar.

That's not even taking into account how the Russo's and writers juggled that many characters so expertly. :lol

Yeah - the last fight fight scene in particular felt brutal. It would have been better if Tony had finished Cap off though. :D

Still doesn't add up for me. Stand by your family or a woman you just met.

That's like saying it doesn't add up for a fireman or policeman to risk his life to save others when they could be home "standing by their families." Barton felt it was the right thing to do, and based on her portrayal in AoU I'm sure his wife supported his decision 100%. Hell I could see her even insisting that he go.

But he retired. If he felt like he wanted to be there for SW why did he retire and leave her to go it alone with the Avengers. He had already made the decision to be with his family.

I think it was just a case of Marvel blowing their load trying to fill the teams up. Even Spidey didn't even need to be there. It was cool that he was but still...

Hawk should have rode off into the sunset. Using a bow and arrow brings nothing to flicks and since Ultron has been nothing but a punchline.

I would have liked that.

*Note to self.....

Do not wait on greygoose.

:lol

:lol

I enjoyed it. I liked it. However with only just seeing it after so long and watching how much hate a certain other movie has had over the months CW is guilty of a few itself.

I just used the Barton one as an example because it was a big WTF moment for me (IMO) whilst watching the movie.

In addition to repaying a debt he owed Wanda because of her brother's sacrifice, the movie made it clear that Hawkeye wasn't comfortable I'm retirement and had an itch to get back in the mix.

When Cap thanked him he replied, "You're doing me a favor." And when Tony asked if he was sick of playing golf, he replied that he played 18 and shot 18.

Sure he retired because it was the right thing to do but he clearly wasn't ready to...

The difference now though is that he knew his actions would have consequences. He was happy to come out of retirement and risk going to jail and being away from his family for a long time (or until the next Avengers movie comes out :lol).
