I'm still disappointed Robert Redford didn't turn out to be the Red Skull like I was expecting him to be in Winter Soldier. I do hope Skull comes back in some way. The more we see of the MCU the clearer it becomes that Skull wasn't disintegrated by the Cube but transported. If they do the whole death of Captain America storyline at the end of this, it would be a good chance to reveal his return.

Same here.

I always believed that Skull was transported elsewhere in TFA...question is where? I need answers! :gah:

I really hope we see Red Skull return at some point in a CA sequel.

I bet Stark is secretly miffed at Cap getting all the great press visiting sick kids while he's tearing it up at casinos.
Thats probably what sets Tony over the edge.

To me, Captain America has the greatest rogue's gallery next to Batman and the X-Men.
I think of Batman first, Spidey 2nd, and then a cluster of folks behind him, which includes the Fantastic Four, X-Men, Flash, and Superman. Cap usually isn't someone I think of as having a great rogue's "gallery," though he does have Red Skull, which is one of the best overall villains.

I think everyone would put Batman then Spidey at the top of their list. I never thought of Cap having a good amount of villains. Red Skull and Zemo probably stand out the most. Who else though?
MODOK? :slap :lol

First off, I just have to say that pic with Chris Evan is awesome! If these Marvel films are helping kids like that—keep pumping them out! I wasn't the biggest fan of the movies, but Cap is a fantastic role model. Although Batman is my favorite, Cap is my first choice for superheroes if some mystical genie granted me the wish to make one hero real! As much as I like Supes, I hate the whole "Superman is the embodiment of all we should be," because his actions don't reflect that to me. Captain America did. It's great if he's inspiring kids out there! Although, I got to keep that on the down-low. I could loose my Bat-Fan credibility! I'm kidding. What makes Batman so great is he's so flawed and a three-dimensional character. Hence why I only really like the 1970's-90's comics, Batman TAS, and Christopher Nolan interpretations. Sorry for ranting!

That's why I'm actually kinda disappointed that Cap 3 is gonna be Civil War instead of just another Avengers film which was basically what the story was anyway. An Avengers story. I thought Sharon was set up perfectly, I wanted Crossbones and Zemo to pop up. Hell throw Sin in there too. If they can make he movie work, they'll make it work. I just wish it were more of an Avengers film, you know?

I agree with you man! I really wish they would have just started this franchise with Cap. Then we could have had two films with him in World War 2, so we could get all that background/universe building for the Marvel universe. I always take films as their own entities, but I think that would have helped!

Everyone usually says 1. Batman, 2. Spidey, and 3. The Flash. While Spidey and Flash have a load of villains, I only like a handful of them (Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, Tombstone, Kingpin for Spidey and Reverse Flash, Grodd for Flash) and unfortunately, the ones I dislike show up frequently. Captain America doesn't have as many, but he has quality that are prevalent and integral to the universe. I don't really know about Fantastic Four other than a couple books I checked out from my library, so I can't comment on that. I like Superman's villains a lot, but I can only name a few. Since Superman's so powerful, I don't care about stories where he fights. I think he lends himself to great philosophical stories, but if I want to see Supes fight, I read Captain America.

Here's the villains off the top of my head:

Red Skull
Baron Zemo
Hatemonger
Crossbones
Sin
Dr. Faustus
John Walker
Baron Strucker
Batroc (Not much of a villain, but a fun antagonist for Cap)
Madame Hydra
Serpent Society
Arnim Zola (He looks so much better in the movies; not a fan of how he looks in the comics)
Scourge
Watchdogs
Nuke
Hate-Monger
Superia....That story was awful when she tried to turned Cap into a woman, but she's hilarious now that there's so much Femi-Nazi stuff nowadays.
Machinesmith
AIM and Hydra- There's some good stories where they're just on their own and Cap has to deal with them

Well we just got Dr. Faustus in Agent Carter which was cool. Though I think it's a huge possibility that we'll see Crossbones and Baron Zemo on Civil War.

Fantastic Four have/had, among others:

Dr. Doom
Galactus/Terrax/other heralds
Namor
Annihilus
Skrulls/Super Skrull
Kree/Ronan
Frightful Four
Mad Thinker
Mole Man
Puppet Master

Some real A-list villains on that list (not Puppet Master, maybe :lol ), whereas Cap's rogues are mostly B-listers IMO (despite recent popularity of guys like Crossbones, he's still primarily just a thug who usually does someone else's bidding).

Since we 're just talking villains, I always loved Mad Stan on Batman Beyond. I thought he was the first intentional B villain. There's one ep where Terry's late for something and Mad Stan shows up, and the look on Terry's face is like, "Damn, not this guy again." Voiced brilliantly by Henry Rollins. And Stan was fun too.

That's really cool. Batfleck, Christian Bale, and Henry Cavill should do the same, and visit kids at Hospitals in full costume. I'd like to see Loki visit some kinds too. That would be cool.

I think Hiddleston did once. I know Bale visited as himself after that tragic opening in Colorado.

Cavill and Batfleck should, I saw Jaime Alexander visit someone as Sif, and she kicked ass too.

Pratt and Evans are the best! :rock

Jaime is awesome, from what I heard she's one of the coolest people you'll meet
