I'm surprised by the mixed reviews. I really like the pose of this one - better than the first, but I can appreciate the paint app concerns. I think with a little custom repaint, this thing would be a home run. I don't think all look bad though - some are def. more tan than others though. It reminds me of the SSC Indy PF from a while back.
The face on this is interesting......as if it's a mix between a realistic portrait and a comic look. I don't love it but I don't *HATE* it. It's kinda like if Chris Evans' Cap was in the animated Avengers cartoon.

I don't think it'll help much. The sculpt on this one just isn't Evans......and I'm usually a sideshow defender.
Agreed.. It just is not Chris Evans. It's not awful as face sculpts go. It's just not the actor at all.

Got this today... Pretty nice piece overall.
Pros:
- The pose is great! Very Dynamic and cool.
- The suit sculpt is very nice and detailed.
- Two shields are better than one
- Did I mention the pose
Cons:
- It's not Chis Evens at all. Now that is not too much of an issue for me as this piece just represents Cap... But if you want Chris Evens... This is not the piece to get.
- Face paint is a bit dark.
- Not the fault of the piece at all but the suit is a bit dark and hard to see the details. I really wish this was a Civil War suit with more color. I am tempted to commission a paint job on this and have someone try and mix in some Red and whites in there somewhere.
Overall I like it and the fact it does not look like Evans is not an issue at all to me... I knew what I was getting when I ordered this. I do wish it was one of Caps other film suits as it would really help this piece POP! The paint apps on the face are a bit dark but well done. We all need to stop panicking about super close up shots from cameras. I am sure mine has some of the same issues as in the shots seen here on the board but my naked eye can't pick them up.
Again not the fault of the piece but a different suit would make this a 9 out of 10 for sure.. As is it's a 7.5 out of 10.

Ok.. I have had this for a few days now... It's official.. I love this statue!!
that's great and I agree 100%! like I said earlier, if you're not hung up on the lack of likeness to evans, the pose and sculpt are awesome!
aa909 - Yeah.. I have no issue with the likeness. I love the head sculpt actually. Now that I have had the piece I don't mind the none red and whites on the outfit now. I mean I ever did as far as cool ass costumes go but it was not classic Cap... Anyways I don't care. This statue is KILLER!! As far as the googly eyes go... Pics pick it up much more then real life. I got some comments about my Gladiator Hulk back when I had him with people thinking he had Wonkey eye... And in photos he did but in person it was almost impossible to see. Much like this piece. In person you can't tell. Very happy with this purchase.
