So this pic suggests to me, at the end of IM2 they found the hammer, they have dug it up (because no one but Thor can lift it) and have put it in storage at Stark industries somewhere, looking at the cylinder behind it could be where Capt America was frozen, I know that was on an Army base in The Incredible Hulk. Maybe they find Thor after he has been banished and this is the moment he is reunited with his hammer.

they prob built the place around the hammer

Entertainment Weekly did a behind the scenes look at Thor a few months ago, in one part you can see Chris in his blue shirt jumping down some steps and kicking agents (most likely S.H.I.E.L.D).

I think that from the end of IM2 to the beginning of Thor they have built some kind of decontamination tent thing around the hammer and then they have tried to excavate the hammer.

Are we going to have a "By the Power of Gayskull" moment where he lifts aloft his mighty hammer and transforms into Thor???? Can't wait....:panic:

I have high hopes for Thor. I have a feeling Cap is goning to suck. Sorry, Evans doesn't do it for me. Cap is huge and imposing in his own way. Remember, he's the leader of the Avengers. This is a man that can command a God like Thor. I can't see Evans pulling this off at all.

This is how I feel too, but I actually really like Evans, and imo Evans is the only good thing i've heard about Captain America so far. Everything else i've seen (Joe Johnston as director :slap) and everything i've heard (anything that Joe Johnston has said to this point regarding the movie :slap) lead me to have very low expectations. :(

Thor on the other hand, I am very excited about. Good director, good cast, and from the looks of it, a good design overall. :clap

And also, Thor does get a helmet then? Interesting.

I like Evans as an actor. However, he does not fit my image of Cap. He doesn't have the physical presence needed for the role. I know people will say give it a chance or you haven't seen it yet. To me, he will always be a wise cracking type of actor. I never look at him for serious roles. Cap is dead serious. He's a soldier in a time of war.

Many people bring up Keaton in Batman and say that was an unconvetional choice that worked. Really? If you put him in Nolans movie does that work? Bale is a far better Batman than Keaton ever was. I know they are different movies but Bale has that physical presense. He is also deadly serious. I believe Bale as Batman. Bale is a better fit for Batman IMHO. Keaton wasn't horrible but he wasn't great either. Keaton is that same type of wise cracking actor that Evans is.

Too many things scare me about the upcoming Cap movie.

Glad you found the images FLOSI :hi5:

I'm more worried about how the characters will translate over to The Avengers, everyone has their own interpretation of the characters. I think now it's official that Joss Whedon is directing he should kind of have a presence in both Thor and Captain America to make sure his movie fits in with those movies.

Don't forget he has to tie together a 'scientific/realistic' approach to a mystical approach to a period piece. Which won't be an easy task. But i think he'll do it well.

Evans as Captain America to me is a good piece of casting. He has the acting chops to pull it off no doubt. Joe has admitted himself he is a period director and that is evident in his work. If you have any doubt check out some of his period pieces (and not the jurassic period :wink1:)

I have my concerns regarding Evans as Captain America. I just don't see it....

Not that being said, I have to admit I was one of the folks who was initially concerned when Robert Downey Jr. was initially cast as Iron Man. I knew Downey could act, but his life had been so turbulent and problematic up to that point, I wasn't sure he had any juice left. Lo and behold I couldn't imagine anyone else playing Iron Man.

So who knows....maybe Evans can pull it off.
