The boots are awesome, go back and look at Luke Jedi's boots. They have come along way since then. Antilles' boots really "pop" in person.

Like the rebel trooper though, its a much nicer figure than I expected.

Great shots, Sean and TK...and I like the ones MC features in his review as well.

Got a chance to open this figure up and check it out...

I think he's a pretty decent figure...good sculpt, the paint apps are neat and the uniform well-tailored. High points are those boots...they do look sharp and the thin material used for the uniform does look good.

My only minor nits are...having said that about the material, it does have the issue of not laying flat and the stitching has a lot of minor fraying (which can be carefully cut away)...nothing some carefully applied padding and futzing can't take care of. Also, the box text does indicate a holster, but that "detailed" belt is nothing more than a strap around the waist...no holster in sight. And finally, the helmet's chin strap was glued so that the chin strap will not run evenly across his face...as long as he is displayed with one profile or another, it's not noticeable, but a straight-on view does look a little awkward.

He does display well with the Rebel Trooper...

I know some folks are taking issue with the Buck, but it works fine for this figure as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to see General Dodonna some day to round out this display of ANH Rebels from Sideshow...until then, Captain Antilles will patrol the decks of the Tantive JV until his fateful meeting with a certain dark lord...

I hope to get Antilles and RFT at some point, but for now they had to take a backseat to some other priorities.

They do evoke that old Star Wars feeling.... back when Star Wars was just one single amazing movie.

Yeah, they really do capture ANH very well. I think I'll eventually pick up both... just didn't feel like paying retail for these ones.

I love both my Rebel trooper and Antilles 1:6ers - they really do scream classic Star Wars

I've been eyeing this figure for a little while and though I'd hate to pay full retail for it I guees the cost would be "split". A free surprise from SSC really has me itching to make a purchase. That's what my order says, PROMO9, free gift and such.
You'd think they would prevent you from adding the Promotion to your order if it didn't apply, but I think these orders have to be evaluated before they give the go ahead for your free item to be placed with your order. This will probably be done when someone at Sideshow manually charges your order.
The $40 minimum requirement is Sideshow's rules, I doubt they'd ignore it.

I hope your order does qualify AmanaMatt, but don't be too surprised if it doesn't.
Your best bet is to cancel your order by phone before they charge ASAP, and look for something else that's around $5 that can be added to your order to bring it up to the $40 minimum so your new order will apply.

Awesome modifications TK0083! They're not screen accurate, but they really complete the figure. I'll have to track down an extra holster too.

Great mod TK0083!... And I've got an extra Bespin Luke holster as I made my 2nd Bespin Luke into a Dagobah Luke-- I think I'll do that too.
