LOL, all agreement.
I think alot of trouble is created when people espouse Truth for what is a Belief.
Opinions are another example of what can never be truth.
I just prefer to use the word Fact , because its a much stricter definition that takes out all the subjectivity of beliefs and opinions.
One can say a God exists and it Fact and they would be wrong.
They can say its true and be correct for certain parameters and definitions.
Fact requires proof, Truth may or may not require proof in the above cases.

That is an excellent point. Well stated. Religious beliefs are the perfect example of where "truth" and "fact" can in fact differ.
As Khev stated though a few pages back, the only certainty is that one person is wrong and the other isn’t, or that they’re both wrong. In other words, one is telling the truth and one isn’t, or neither are. There’s no such thing as conflicting truth. If one person believes in God and the other doesn’t, you both can’t be making an accurate assertion. Truth is absolute and doesn’t care about one’s personal feelings, beliefs, or emotions.
The truth is based on facts that can be corroborated or verified, and then one’s opinion or belief can simply either be based on those facts or not be based on those facts, or how they’re interpreted. From there, we can then make an assessment as to the value of those opinions.
