wth I didn't realize davy jones was that small. He has been on my most wanted list for a while... but that... is quite disappointing. and a relief.

surprised no mention of john matrix.

Nathan Drake did not had a bad sculpt, he had a bad mold due to the eye piece inserted into the head which fattened the face. If you could remove that and reshape the head, you'll find that he looks very close to how he appeared in the game, which is the total opposite of say, the Hot Toys Naked Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3.

The only real sixth-scale disappointment I own is Hot Toys Raiden. It's a beautiful figure, mine's almost flawless except for one small paint blemish on his right shoulder pad. A really amazing display piece.

Problem is, it might as well be a statue. I set the elbows in a fairly neutral pose after unboxing it and haven't touched them since. This for me is why it's such a huge disappointment. It's a figure loaded with articulation and features, but I might as well have just bought the Gecco statue instead because I'm not willing to take the risk of posing and reposing it.

hot toys snake is very accurate sculpt... but the thing is it's based on the 3ds renders not ps2. people keep ignoring that for some reason.

If you're implying that remark to me, I didn't ignore it. The front resembles the 3Ds, but the back and sides doesn't. At all.

^I can also add, that the suit on the HT Naked Snake figure is so bubbly, and awkward looking from every angle.

In any case, if I had to list the sixth-scale figures I was most disappointed with, it would be the following:

1. Medicom Metal Gear Solid 4: Old Snake - bubbly and fragile rubber suit, cheap-looking head-sculpt
2. Hot Toys Metal Gear Solid 3: The Boss - horrible head-sculpt, looks like a transvestite. The body is also not feminine at all.
3. Hot Toys Metal Gear Solid 3: Naked Snake - terribly tailored rubber suit that doesn't fit to the body well. The head-sculpt is also a poor representation of the character.
(I'm starting to see a pattern here...)
4. Hot Toys Metal Gear Rising: Raiden - a figure with great detailing, but an extremely fragile body
(Yup, definitely a pattern)
5. Batman Returns: Batman/Bruce Wayne (Two-Pack) - The rubber suit feels thin like a condom, and the Bruce Wayne head-sculpt looks more like Andrew Cuomo, than Michael Keaton. If you already have the 89 Batman figure, please do yourself a favor, and pass on this.

Overall, I think I've had it with rubber suit figures, and sixth-scale Metal Gear Solid figures, in general.

I agree with that list and the HT Snake takes the cake along with the Boss as the most disappointing figures in my collection. There's just little to nothing aesthetically pleasing about them at all. :lol

They seriously suck so hard, I doubt we could even sell them for MSRP on Ebay :lol. I think they can definitely rank as the two most underwhelming 1/6 figures ever created - let alone, the most underwhelming figures in my collection, too.

This is not how you do MGS, HT...

You don't like a figure 41% resembling Jack Black. I get it. :lol

I have him and I never noticed either. That picture is also a bit unfair as he's stood next to carnival Jack, but even then he is on the small side.

If they even commit to it, you won't see it until the end of the decade. I'll pass on it, since I utterly loathed the game.

It's a really solid list and is have to agree everything on there belongs there and many are my biggest disappointments as well.

I think HT Indy belongs on there too.

Yeah, I totally disagree on the Daley jones. He's pretty cool. And any figure going for $700 on eBay can't be all bad.

I think, much like Michael said about the crow figure, the fact that he's going for well below retail on ebay is precisely why it is that bad

I have never seen the davey jones so I can't speak to it but this rings true for a lot on this list such as silk specter. I bought her full price but I've seen her go for as little as 50 bucks.

To be fair, that was hot toys first real high effort at a female character but the fact that in my opinion, their female figures still look awkward by in large, says a lot.

Snake Plissken? My only is is the stiff boots. Otherwise a nice figure.

It's funny because you guys both called out the boots, while not a home run in that department either I think all around I was pretty bummed out with him.

Which is why I modded the hell out of him and think i did that to half of the ones sideshow actually produced lol.

The proto was so good, but the jacket paint on the head and tailoring looked so bad.

I will say that I agree that the boots and the guns look cheap but I guess I forgot about them once everything else looked better. That and I had no idea how I could have fixed them.

Another thing to add to the disappointment of the comedian is that he did not have his smiley faces. Not really hot toys fault but still.

I remeberd thst because I think I made decals for half of the ones hot toys produced too lol.

Snake was serviceable with a lot of work... Drake was good after you adjusted the head or just replaced it.
