I;ve been checking out this piece for awhile and I think im gonna get him. I'm not much of a Spider Man fan, but Carnage looks sick. Too bad I missed out on the Venom. I definitely see me getting Carnage in the near future.

You wont be dissapointed, its a great figure! I prefer the venom comiquette personally. Carnage is right up there though

Nice sig :rock sideshow FTW get carnage :monkey1

thanks your Sig too! but i got the bowen venom..the one on the gargoyle and for me i find it amazing..but I dont own any carnages, cuz I don't like the bowen one, ill probably have to get him...but i just got a Bowen Modern Nova and I will be getting Beta Ray Bill..so thats lot of money..but im sure ill end up getting it..damn it

Yeah the bowen venom does look good! Im thinking of picking that one up at some point. For me I dont think anything can beat the SSC venom comiquette. It is all kinds of awesome

I received this letter today from Sideshow regarding my Carnage replacement claw.
--------------------------
Thank you for the pictures you sent. We are in the
process of receiving replacement parts for this piece (Carnage Comiquette Detachable Arm), and I
have placed you on a waitlist to receive one once they come back
in-stock.

Please note however, that because you are outside of
Sideshow Collectibles 30 day return policy, you may be responsible for any
shipping charges that will occur once our replacements arrive.

I appreciate your patience during this process. If you
have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me
and I will do my best to assist you further.

It took over 2 weeks for me to get this reply and I am not happy about the potential shipping charges so I sent this reply. I tried to stay professional and not get too upset, but still get the point across that Sideshow QC has been terrible as of late.
--------------------------------
Thank you for the update.

However, I do not feel that I should be responsible for the shipping costs associated with a replacement arm for Carnage. I do realize that it is beyond the 30 day window (less than 60 days), but I received the piece right before the holidays and did not have time to open up and inspect it right away. When I did inspect it, I was very disappointed to see that it looks like I received someone else's return because there was no yellow QC inspection sticker sealing the styrofoam and the tape job on the styrofoam was not pristine and intact like what I have seen in the past from all my other previous orders. As you can tell from the pictures I sent you, the claw tip was broken off and then glued back on. I can assure you that it is not a great feeling to open up a statue that you have been waiting months for and paid several hundreds of dollars for to see a broken piece that someone tried to glue together and pass off as ok. Is Sideshow hoping that the collector will not notice the defect? I certainly hope not as this is a bad business policy.

The QC for most of the recent Sideshow Marvel product has dropped off dramatically in recent months. The Iron Man Mark VI has had several instances of terrible paint applications. The Thanos Diorama has been plagued with numerous instances of broken Captain America shields on the base of which I am one of those customers as well. The Spiderman comiquette has had its share of poor paint jobs and now there have been several reports of claw breakages with the Carnage comiquette. I know that collectors can be picky about their statues, especially in the case of paint jobs, but this is a case of a legitimate defect (breakage) on the statue. Collectors are not happy with these recent defects and I cannot imagine that Sideshow is happy about them either and that is probably at least part of the reason why the returns process is so back logged at the moment. Your job cannot be easy at the moment. I hope that this matter is being investigated to determine the root cause(s) of these defects after which a corrective action(s) can be implemented to properly address these problems.

I have been ordering Sideshow products for over 3 years and I really love the products Sideshow sells - especially the Marvel stuff. I hope that this is just a hiccup in the QC department that is corrected soon or else it threatens to turn what has been an enjoyable hobby for me and others into a dreadful chore that I will not want to be a part of in the future.

I respectfully submit that Sideshow should be responsible for shipping charges for return of a defective product that was not in mint condition when it was originally sent out.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Mike

Damn, I can't believe that they would try to pull the time period on this whenever they can't promptly get back to in orderly fashion anyways.

Good luck ski hopefully they take care of ya, it's just a matter of principal with ss qc at this point anymore IMO.

Thanks celtic. I hope Sideshow does the right thing too. I have no reason to believe they won't.

I figure as long as we convey our dissatisfaction to Sideshow in a professional and courteous manner, it can only help to improve things over time. If things don't get better, then we as collectors will have to decide when enough is enough.

You are probably in the middle of taking the tendrils out and re-doing them. It took me two or three times to get them right. :lol
