First, I have this bust on order and I plan on displaying this when it ships in October. I have a question about something however, based on a number of comments regarding Steve Wang's involvement in this piece. Does a sculpt automatically become "fantastic" or "awesome" strictly by who sculpted (or designed) it?
I get this picture of 2 guys standing in front of a sculpt. Guy #1 says, "Now that is one piece of c**p - what a waste of shelf space!" Guy #2 says, "Dude, that was sculpted by Joe Schmo himself, the master!" Guy #1 says, "Joe *@%#& Schmo sculpted this?" His friend shakes his head, a look of reverance on his face. (Pause....) Guy #1 says, "Freakin' rightous man! I'm gettin' me one!"
Sound familiar? I've actually witnessed a scene like this before! I laughed my a** off!
That's hilarious. That's called the jedi mind trick at work, only works on weak minds!
Personally, I look at the piece not the sculptor, some people just like everything single thing by a someone no matter how bad it turns out.
