Hardy is gay right? (No it doesn't matter, why would it?). I was just wondering if Nolan is, that could explain the seriously bad female characters in his movies. Don't shoot me, just sayin...

Hardy is engaged to Charlotte Riley:

but I believe he was quoted as saying he used to experiment with men.

Nolan is married to Emma Thomas, has been since 1997. She produces a lot of his movies, here she is in the middle:

Well Hardy might be married to a woman, I say he is gay :)

Reason is simple, this statement he once made:
‎[When asked by a "Daily Mail" interviewer if he's ever had sex with another man]
"Of course I have. I'm an actor, for ____'s sake. I've played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality, but now that I'm in my thirties, it doesn't do it for me. I'm done experimenting but there's plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man, especially gay men, that I need in my life."

there are just that stick forever once you say them...
But I leave it to your "judgment" (who are we to judge) if he is gay or not :)

Gay/bisexual Bane?

DO NOT WANT. Nah, just kidding.

Oh well, Ian Mckellen is homosexual, but that doesn't stop me from liking the character of Gandalf the Grey. As long as Hardy doesn't lisp or ____ Batman as Bane, I'll enjoy the character, regardless of the actors sexual preferences.

He could still be gay. A friend of mine had a brother who was married with five kids and they found him dead at a gay bar with his significant other. The wife was devastated.

You just never know. Though, I can usually pick up on people that are, and I don't really suspect that from Nolan in interviews and such. Never know though, bad with female characters, seems to have a love for Brokeback Mountain (said it was one of his favorite films, two actors from the movie in main performances?).

It'd be lolz.

Croc Isn't some lame guy on steroids with a luchadore mask, he's a freak with a skin mutation or something. He's hulking and huge, and a battle in the sewers would be epic.

So Bane is lame because he's "on steroids with a luchadore mask", but Croc is cool because he has a "skin mutation or something"? Yeah, that sounds much better. ;)

He's hulking and huge
That applies to both Bane and Croc, at least in the comics. If Croc ever made it in a Nolan movie, he probably wouldn't be any bigger than Bane will be now.

Bane grew up in a prison. I'm sure he got a piece once in a while.

:lol :lol :lol :lol

It doesn't really matter either way. As long as Hardy is believable as Bane and Nolan still produces kick ass movies I don't care whether they prefer to utilize indoor or outdoor plumbing.

Seriously. Hardy seems cool as all hell, I don't care at all what he's up to. I'm sure a good portion of your favorite actors, musicians, etc got up to wilder stuff than he did.

A woman can experiment with other women and be fine. But once a dude mounts another dude you are gay, forever.

wtf does an actor's sexual preference have to do with the movie?

Not a thing. I don't care one bit about their sexual orientation, religion or political beliefs. I just want them to play the character to the best of their ability.

Pulling us back on topic, Charlotte Riley was in the final running to play Selina Kyle, gossip columns claim that she made it to the final readings. Now rumors are going that she is being looked at for Talia even though the character hasn't been confirmed to even be in the film, take that for what you will.

Yep exactly.

That's because lesbianism is an art, in my opinion. Unless they're ugly women, then it's wrong.

Hmm, but did Ras ever mention having any children, just a "love that he lost long ago"? She'd seem like an odd shoe in. Talia seems to be a fan's wet dream along with Dr. Hugo Strange, I don't see how she'd work.

Unless Ras is reincarnated as Talia or takes over her body like that one Batman Beyond episode. Picture Liam Neeson dubbing Charlotte Riley's voice...

oh my god. this thread has me laughing out loud.:rotfl
:rotfl or should I say..OMG...LOL....

Defabio, I might change my sig to that...

Didn't some reports say Nolan was scouting locations in India for filming? I think i'd die if they put Talia in this and hired Aishwarya Rai. She'd be perfect.
