He transformed that **** eyed poison ivy into a thing of beauty

Decals are kinda crazy looking but his repaints would totally transform this atrocity into display worthy pieces

Okay, I did it. I'm an amateur with Photoshop so this might be a little rough, but here goes.

Compare and contrast: a normal left eye versus Catwoman's left eye:

View attachment 154165

Notice how misshapen Catwoman's eye seems to be generally, how abnormal the sclera seems to be due to the length of the eye horizontally, and how large the caruncle area is--and I'm not even talking about how the caruncle is painted, but how it was already shaped in the corner of the eye. Now there is of course the fact that she's squinting a bit, but that doesn't mean her eye should be abnormally stretched out at the edges either.

As for the paintjob, well, that speaks for itself...

The eye is not mishapen, most people don't widen their eyelids otherwise they'd look crazy.. The paint job is sloppy.

Agreed, Rulk, the eye is sculpted fine but the painter, if you can call them that, used way too much pink when the white of the eye should go almost to the corner, and that's not even touching the horrible job on the eyeliner.

Here's a quick adjustment to show where the "painter" should have used the colors and the eyes would look less weird. I'd still say that detailing would make them perfect but for just a quick easy way to make appear less misshapen it would only take a bit of white and maybe a touch up on the eyeliner.

Sorry to hear and see those unsatisfactory pieces. Somehow my regrets of not having this on PO are gone, but I'll go see this in person once shipped and see if it's good enough to spend $400 on. Hopefully the batch we get would would be a tad better and consistent.

I'm pretty ticked at the quality being so bad, ever since they did away with their CQ seals. I'm planning on getting her repainted either new 52 skin tone ( more white / green eyes * duh * ) or a more natural tan.

I was thinking of canceling this for weeks now, u guys are making it easy

I'm still excited about getting Catwoman. I think she turned out great with the exception of some of the goggles up head sculpts. At worst, if the paint is horrible on mine I'll display her with the goggles down HS (which still looks awesome) and see about getting a replacement head or a new paint job for the other. I don't think that the possibility of getting a messed up head means the PF is a complete failure. Crossing my fingers I don't have to worry about it though--I'll find out Monday.

That's pretty much it. I think there's a lot of overreacting going on. The Entire piece to me is win except for the Goggles up portrait. That being said, we shouldn't have to fix the portrait to begin with. So to Mark Newman and the Sideshow Cut and sew team, Thumbs up. To their portrait painters that did the Goggles up  :banghead :cuss

I only started collecting last year so im not really sure..but did SS admit that they did a bad job on Rogue PF? if not..that is what shocks me..i cant believe how prideful this company is..by not accepting the wrong or even releasing a statement about it comes across to me as "i dont give a **** about you guys" and one would also think that QC will be tighter by now but sadly no. Lucky for US customers you can just wait for the production piece to be released before ordering and return it easily but for us international ones..we need to preorder everything.

Picked up my CW from the office today. No sense in posting pics, goggles up is like others with the right eye not looking the same direction. Also her suit has two scratches on it that removed the shiny part of the material. Never had to deal with a replacement from sideshow before, hope it goes well. She also has MC Hammer pants.

Lol no wonder they take 3 weeks to respond sometimes they have to get their computers RMA'd for repair before they can reply

SS Customer Service after checking their inboxes after their Christmas vacation is over:

This gif implies SSC gives a ****. I bet they already expect tons of returns and people requesting returns. Thats the point, they dont give a ****. They figure the amount of people who will just "deal" with what they get or accept a replacement or small refund will far outweight those that return it outright. As long as it doesn't affect their bottom line. You honestly think someone who saw those googly eyes wouldn't realize how bad they are? I guarantee SSC knows these things are googly eyed and they just send em out anyway...

If they'd only just release the remaining x-men I'd be done for good. XM studios seems to be mopping the floor with that license though

Got her. Got a good portrait. No pics cause I put her back in the box. I'll post some in a day or so. Love this fig

Congrats!

Man, I can't believe you guys are still awake. :lol Only reason I'm still up is because I'm slaving away prepping and cooking for Christmas dinner. Big family. :monkey2
