Thanks for the pics Asta! Mine is still on the way. To me, MT's version looks more like a younger softer/calmer expression, maybe reminiscent of some of the flashback scenes or events between the two games, wereas CC's is more of the in game intensity. Both I feel look like Elli, just different vibes before and after.

Thought I might post here my custom abby if that's alright it's still a work In progress weathering wise and painting here is a before pic and after pics with my custom display of the forest scene that is also still a work in progress

The missing/broken pieces arrived.

Excellent service from Kit, though the hand isn't the one I was missing. lol

It was meant to be a left trigger pulling hand, but I got a right gripping hand instead. Not that I'll bother Kit again for that.

Replacing the guitar key wasn't simple, as I found out yesterday when I removed the broken one. They're glued into the guitar with pegs, and levering the old one out left the peg still glued inside the guitar.

Since the guitar head is too thin and fragile to use a drill to extract the pin, I had to cut the pin off the new one instead so it sits flush. Cutting that wasn't easy either as it's so small and the rod holding the key so delicate, plus there was the danger of the blade slipping into my fingers!

Almost as good as it was supposed to be...

Received my Ellie today. I was lucky once again and everything came complete!

I took a few pics of the mt toys and cctoys heads side by side and asked around. Surprisingly a lot of people I asked actually preferred CCToys. I personally still much prefer MT but I really like CC now that Ive seen it in hand.

Neither one of the angry sculpts look appealing to me. But if I had to choose one I would go for MT since that one conveys anger while the CCtoys only works from one angle and she just looks like she’s on the verge of tears any other angle.

Im really glad I picked this up, the extra accessories and clothing MT didnt come with alone is worth it. I will be dirtying her up a bit and giving her a different undershirt thats more accurate to the game.

Still pissed that they gave her tanktop sleeves… I couldve used that shirt for a Santa Barbara version.

I thought her neck looked a bit short with the vest and shirt on so the headsculpt is just resting on the peg, not attached.

The MT is a more pleasant sculpt to look at, especially when seen side by side with CC's. Probably because I'm used to CC's TLOU Part I, where Ellie looks so innocent and angelic. :lol

The CC Part II looks better in isolation, and I found it only really comes to life properly when seen in person.

I agree that CC's angry sculpt is dependent upon a very specific angle. The head has to be tilted forward a long away, or else you have to display her on a lower shelf so you're looking down at her. Otherwise, as you wrote, she does look on the point of tears!

When I switched the MT sculpt onto the CC it already had white tack pushed up inside to make it sit higher on the neck cup, and since both figures have the same type of body it fitted right away.

Never made a diorama before in my life and had so much fun. I love how it turned out and really wanted to share with y’all.

Just out of curiosity, is the top strap of ellies thigh holster much shorter than the bottom one for you guys too?

It doesnt really make much sense, its super tight now its barely holding on while the lower strap still has tons of room to spare. I feel like mine were stitched on the wrong way… You cant really tell though, but Im guessing since mine is so tight the holster is probably sitting a bit lower on the leg than intended.

Yeah, I had the same issue, the top strap is shorter than the bottom strap preventing it from sitting as high up on the leg as I'd like. I had the same thought that it feels like it got put together wrong.

Nevermind that her leg holster only has one strap in-game.

Same here as well. The first time I tried pushing the holster up her leg the strap slipped out of the buckle. Second time I eased it over the thigh gradually until the top strap was just connected. There's a lot of excess on the lower one.

The style they made for Ellie looks like the one Dina wore:

Is this the only version Ellie can find?

No that is the only holster for the sidearm that ellie finds in the game I will most likely make my own to make it look like the in game one I did the same thing for the one Joel can craft in the first game for my part 1 Joel
This in game pic was the only clear pic I could find but the one that I made is basically the whole piece that he crafts I made it out of foam

Yesterday I began watching Dansg08's 'TLOU2 - The Movie (Marathon Edition) - All Cutscenes/Story With Gameplay' video.

At 10 1/4 hours it's a lot more condensed than MKIceAndFire's massive play through that I watched.

I was looking for costume details along the way. Ellie begins with regular blue jeans in her winter outfit, which includes boots rather than the more impractical Converse trainers as Dina jokes.

After Joel's death Ellie is back in her Converse, and her jeans look dark blue. When she and Dina set off again the jeans are back to regular blue. I'm about 2 1/4 hours in and I'm not sure but her jeans seem to get darker, which would have to be due to getting grubbier.

Earlier, when Abby wakes up after her nightmare and walks over to Owen, a little light bulb went off in my head.

Years ago I bought Magic Cube's Scott Lang/Ant-Man burglar outfit and Eleven's Paul Rudd sculpt. I've always considered him to be one of my survivors of the apocalypse. Then I saw Owen in his blue coat, similar hair and stubble, and thought maybe Scott Lang had finally found his true calling. :lol

As nice as those oblong CC bases are, they take up more space on the shelf than the oval ones, so I'll probably swap some around.

As I was swapping things around I made an unexpected discovery. Three of CC's oblong bases fit end to end across a Detolf shelf. I imagined they'd be too wide, but they make quite a nice raised platform:

The snow came to TLOU instead:

I think everything looks good except for the blood on the face to me it just looks like it just smeared everywhere, different placements would have helped but I wonder what he did else to the face it looks slightly different from the OG photo and the hair has more depth I noticed

She looks good in his updated photo, but a lot has to do with lighting with this sculpt. His before and after are from different angles, which accentuates the difference.
