Update on the Animation Art McQuarrie Print.

They are limited to 2 per person. No exceptions, despite trying my hardest there is no way around this. I've even turn on the 'Northern Charm' but to no effect.

I already have one order for one of these prints so that's one space left.

It will have to be first come, first served for the other place I'm afraid.

The good news is that I have reserved two prints so they are safe!

You are not only lucas approved, you are most certainly Freaks approved! :rock

:lol :lol :lol

Someone.....please......get this for me....:monkey2

that is just too badass for words.... I want it. :D

Ditto! Is anyone still taking reservations for this one? (THEY WERE EXPENDABLE by Cat Staggs) I would pay an obscene amount of money (relatively speaking, for a poster, anyway) for this one..... Plus a finder's fee..... Or else I guess I'll get soaked on E(vil)bay someday.

What did they say about pickups? I actually pre-ordered one early before they stated it was for pickup only. I talked to them and they said it could be picked up. I am actually working on getting it paid for direct to them ahead of time and was going to ask you to pick it up. I wonder if they will allow that? If not I will have to figure something else out.

hey folks... its really important that you realise that these pieces AREN'T posters; that's why they are so expensive. Cat's, Adam's and my own pieces are high end art prints; archival inks and paper being run on a 4-color Heidleberg press. The paper stock is 80 pound, high cotton content archival, with a slight texture and no gloss. When you see these pieces; you'll totally love them! They only way they could be further from posters was if you were buying the original art itself!

Yes in a pic it may look like a poster, but these a far from a poster. These suckers are on very nice and sometimes VERY thick paper. These were worth every penny at CIV. There are still a good deal at the CE prices. The price difference is very understandable. The cost to travel is just a lot for these artists, I know Jake spent a ton coming to the US and now the rest are spending a ton to go to London. And if you have been reading some of the stuff over at GGC, I belive they still have not been paid for CIV and they have to shell out more money to print these fly to London etc.. and who knows when they will get paid for these hopefully faster then for CIV.

How can I get these back home? Are mailer tubes going to be available to buy?

I suggest going to your local art supply store and buying a ridgid plastic poster tube that either fits in your luggage, OR they have varieties that have straps, so you can throw it over your shoulder.... then it becomes your carry-on luggage.

Agreed. Get the 36" Ice Tube (any local art supply store carries these). I also have a telescoping poster tube from The Container Store, which I love.

That's right man, get the shoulder strap on and save yourself a HUGE pain in the arse having to carry it round in your hands all day.

Trust me! Carrying a tube round all day is asking for some idiot to bang into you and bend it right in the middle 'accidentally'. I had it happen with my Matrix 'signer' only it was with sufficient force to tear the poster too. 25 signatures all gone for nought because I wasn't careful. Needless to say I went out and bought a plastic shoulder tube.

I've just had my new tubes arrive this morning for all the extra prints. I'm gonna pick 'em all up on Friday morning and then I don't have to worry about trawling around with tubes on my back the other days.

Can't wait to meet you "Sir Tristan"! Now I 'll know to look for the guy with the tube stapped over yur shoulder!
