With the announcement of the Commander Ganch figure comes a horrible confirmation. The announcement confirms Sideshow isn't coming. The press release says this will be availalbe in the Celebration Store and not at a booth. :(

Agreed. I think it's too much for Sideshow to move their setup from CA to FL, so the shared Exclusive is their way out. They will be missed once again.

All major SW license holders are able to make the trip to *both* coasts for SDCC and Celebration. Why can't Sideshow? It would have been nice to see the Droid PF's and possibly HT Anakin and/or Han in person.

:slap

It would have been nice to meet some of the great folks who work at SSC. Also would have been nice to see some of the soon-to-be-released SW pieces.

Not really sure how you can miss the biggest SW party of the year AGAIN. :dunno

Not necessarily true. While it is unlikely, it is still possible that Sideshow is going to Celebration VI, but doesn't want to deal with the hassle of handling pickups at their booth, and would rather just show off their wares, and talk to the attendees.

From a PM. :(

"Sideshow will not be attending Celebration VI but you might see some of our collectibles on display at the actual show."

This part is promising, though. I just hope it doesn't mean only exclusives.

"And I should also add...besides some items on display, there might be some other surprises and goodies up our sleeves as well. Stay tuned."

Peter Mayhew and other guests announced:

Tim Rose: "It's a Trap!" The performer behind Admiral Ackbar, Tim Rose, will be at Celebration VI. The puppeteer also performed the iconic Sy Snoodles and Salacious Crumb.

Nick Maley: A make-up artist in The Empire Strikes Back, Maley was involved with Stuart Freeborn in the creation of Yoda.

Paul Springer: Mime artist and puppeteer, Springer portrayed a Gamorrean guard and the character Ree Yees in Return of the Jedi.
