Thanks guys! I really want to build a dio to house all these guys, just not sure when I am going to have the time.

Barryo, maybe you are referring to Gammorrean Guards with that bacon reference? I hope to add a couple Gammies in the future. I had a couple on order from Sideshow, but had to cancel them. I am pretty sure I can pick them up down the road.

I recieved my Hasbro Death Star Trooper in the mail today. I had some time today and got cracking on him.

I carefully cut the velcro off the shirt and collar. I then replaced the belt and cut the silver boxes down a bit, they are a bit large on the Hasbro version. I had a spare Stormtrooper belt, so I removed the holster and placed it on this belt. Praji gloves(Thanks Mark! ) and Dragon German boots.

The helmet is great, but as many said very big. I think the size actually works. You just need to dremmel quite a bit into the helmet to get it to sit lower. I also had to dremmel off some of the figure head. The chin strap is from a spare Sideshow Rebel Fleet trooper painted black. There you have it...

I am going to do some more touchups and futzing, but I really like the looks of him. I think I may want the helmet to sit a bit lower, may do some more dremmeling. If you can score one of these off ebay, do it. Its a fun mod!!

Seeing as I'm having no luck finding a black outfit for my DST , I'm considering using a spare grey Imperial Officer outfit .( Obviously I'd need some gauntlets etc.) What's the concensus guys ? Would this be legit ? I'm asking because I know Hasbro's original Trooper was in grey , but I don't actually remember seeing any grey troopers on screen or in any reference .

I think grey would be cool. There are some reference pictures from ANH of DSTs with grey suits. I didnt see any in the movies either, but I think look cool. I am actually thinking of doing a 3rd DST and giving him a grey suit myself.

Gauntlets/gloves are becoming the issue for me. Mark, I have some Praji gloves I could lend you if you wanted to cast some more up??
