Chakaman's customs, mods and repaints

Nice work Chacka. I have done my fair share of dying for my WWII figs. Depending on the original color, the type of fabric and if there's any coatings on them, it can be such a crap shoot.

I have had to use bleach or ammonia with color remover to remove original colors. The results on those are always so wild. But if you can successfully remove the color, darker colors sometimes take better.

And if you really want to make something dark, i always add a little more dye and leave it in for a long time. I have also used a drop or two of fabric detergent to help remove the excess dye during the rinses.

You are absolutely right. Its very tricky. I am relieved it turned out ok. It was a $70 poncho.

I recievrd some new hats today. I was using the two Krennic hats I had for earlier pictures. After some work with the dremmel, I think I am set to finish off my officers. I also recieved some code cylinders modeled from the HT Tarkin.

Love all your Imperials, awesome stuff! I didn’t know there was 3D Imperial hats out there. I’m currently educating myself on how to use a sewing machine so I can make 1/6 costumes. 1/6 costumes are my current barrier to doing total customs that meet my standards.

Now that I have started this, I am sure HT will announce her. Boushh Leia.

Body swap complete. Using HT Endor Leia. Now to time to repaint helmet, armor and make upgrades to belt and outfit.

Some progress. Repainted chest armor.. added gun metal to bandolier, ammo clips and belt buckle. Her "clown pants" had to go. Also trying to figure out to redo her boots.
