Chewbacca and Kaminoans- two birds with one stone?

So I want a SS Chewie as much as everyone else and got to thinking about an idea I had before. A very very thin body armature under some kind of fur body suit for Chewie, BUT this wouldn't be the only time it could be used. It could also be used for Kaminoans. Chewbacca, according to the SW.com database is 2.28 meters. Lama Su is 2.29 meters. PERFECT. So would anyone here actually go for Kaminoans ? I think this is a really good suggestion to look at, and if I had any skills myself, I would give a try.

Chewie would need a body with much broader shoulders. In theory though, I think your concept is good.

Good theory Mem., but I think the Kominoans need a VERY thin neckline and elongated arms and legs. Are they taller than wookies?

Not according to the Database, and when it comes down to the body structure itself, mayhaps they could utilize body extensions and the like. Have a base elongated and thin torso and work from there. I know SS would ideally like to get the most miliage out of each body so this may be their best bet, unless they have something they'd like to share with us now? Hmmm?

Well, saving costs could get us more figures then we would normally get. But would that mean less quality?

I don't know if I would say that saying getting the most miliage out of an investment is the same as being run by accountants. If you were running SS (take out all positive or negatives and think from a buisness view) would you make a body that could only be used on one specifc figure or would you find a way to develp a body or body system that could be adapted for multipule uses and thus spread out the cost of development? Peronsally I would take number 2 because not only does it defray cost for SS, it may defray for us and will almost definatly net us more figures.

On second thought, it's probably a good idea, if done right! The problem with the Kaminoan is the neck making a good chunk of their height, so they need shorter bodies than Chewbacca. Their feet are odd-shaped, so they should do what they did with the Metaluna mutant. I guess you can say that Tion Medon and Kaminoans can share the same body.

I think it might take too much development and money to make a body that works for both Chewbacca and the Kaminoans. And I'd rather have Chewbacca anyway.

I'd hope they manage to bring out a few wookiees - not just Chewbacca.

You've got:

Chewbacca (of course)
Tarrful (from episode III)
A few Wookiee warriors (from Episode III)
Lowbacca (Jedi Wookiee)
Zaalbar (KOTOR I)
Han Harr (KOTOR II)
Senator Yarua
Jedi Master Tyvokka (Comics)

There's probably a few even more obscure but you'd get at least one hero, two Jedi, and three military (Tarrful + 2 others like the commando pack), and a Scum and Villainy (Han Harr). Not sure where Zaalbar would fit but I'd prefer Han Harr anyway.

Other than the height issue, I think the body structures are too different from one another.

Wookiees have a bit of bulk to 'em compared to the thinner stature of the Kaminoans or the elegant Utapauns or the ropey Gungans.

I think wookiees will require a unique body design...however the other three species may be able to utilize a similar body type while accommodating the different necks, arms and torsos.

Whatever the case...if any of these characters/races are attempted and produced with any quality from Sideshow, it's a safe bet that they will be considerably more expensive than the standard human-adaptable body characters.

Now the one thing that will work in common for all these tall characters is the packaging...

I think it is a very creatice and interesting idea... however for the reasons that people have already brought up... it probably wouldn't work IMHO.

Kaminoans have amazingly elongated necks and appendages. The two wouldn't be able to use the same body at all. I'd say that Kaminoans are probably longshots in this line but would be appreciated I think because of their uniqueness.

As for Wookies, there are a ton of Wookies that can be produced to reuse that body among Azrael's list, let's also not forget that Chewie's hairstyle in ANH is vastly different than his hairstyle in ROTJ and I'd love a snow covered Chewie to display with my Endor Han when he comes around...
