why would he be more then $400 ?? there is as good as no fabric material.. barely details on him... check skaar colossus ...etc.. junder $400 ...

if its over.. then its as always over priced by SSC..

and statements like from you Darth Snoopy is something SSC just love to see.. people who dont care how much they pay for statues... but the majority do care...

I believe this will be over $400 because:
1. It's Star Wars
2. How long have they been working on Chewy figure? Research and engineering will need to be taken into consideration, hence higher cost
3. Size of the statue
4. SS prices keep rising
5. It's Star Wars

I'd love to be wrong but we'll see next week!

All of the research has gone into the sixth scale figure not this statue...It's just sculpting clay, no research needed.

They said they were initially going to do it in fur a long time ago, but that was a fail, so they are sculpting it. Trial and error...there's the research...

Me too. Chewy looks great but it needs a new Han PF. Preferably a Bespin Han but a Han in Hoth gear would work too. Hopefully Sideshow has one in the works. There has been very little ESB represented in PF form so far.

That may be true but the ANH Han head sculpt was marginal at best so we are in need of another HAN PF with a better head sculpt. I think this Chewbacca PF could work quite well with a Bespin Han for example. There has to be another Han PF in the works.

The attakus 1/5 all sculpt chewie with metal xbow is pretty much perfect, painted in france by real artists, only thing lacking is slightly smaller size than 1/4

That can be bought for around $200, so unless sideshow is reasonable with the pricing it will be a pass for me.
