Re: Christopher Nolan's Tenet (July 17th, 2020)

Yea he?s overrated. He made 2 good batman films. Meh

You didn't like Memento, Inception, interstellar, or the Prestige? The only films of his I didn't care for were tdkr and Dunkirk.

Nolan gets my money. All of his films are top notch quality. Doesn't mean you have to love them, but you know they will be intriguing.

https://collider.com/christopher-nolan-tenet-budget-200-million/

Christopher Nolan‘s new action movie Tenet will cost more than $200 million, sources tell Collider in the wake of a Variety story that pegged the number at an eye-popping $225 million — and that’s before a nine-figure marketing campaign.

Nolan is, of course, one of the few people on the planet who could command such an enormous budget for an original movie that isn’t based on a popular IP. Collider’s sources put the number at $205 million — at least — which isn’t to cast aspersions toward Variety’s report, but simply confirms the trade’s conclusion that the budget is, without question, north of the $200 million milestone.

$200 mill for an original story seem suspicious. What if Tenet is

an Inception sequel

They must be holding back on a lot of big sequences because there was nothing in the trailer that would merit a $200 mill budget.

This one's just not grabbing me.

The way the "time in reverse" special effects look remind me of something out of a cheesy 80s sci fi flick. It's visually unimpressive.

The story might be great though but they're not doing a good job of showing what that is in the trailers.

I have the exact opposite opinion. I think it looks amazing and can't wait to see it.

Re: Christopher Nolan's Tenet (July 17th, 2020)

The trailer has all of Nolan's greatest hits, epic music, people in suits, people standing around explaining stuff, Michael Caine, kitchens, lots of grey, dark streets, ...and many more. :lol

This looks like an Inception type film. Good.

Re: Christopher Nolan's Tenet (July 17th, 2020)

Film after film Nolan still has not been able to make his action scenes interesting.
How can you have an actual plane crash in a hangar and make it so flat?
Lol still gonna see it because the story is cool.

Crashing planes, terrorists, swat guys, people in masks....the hits keep on coming. :lol

Re: Christopher Nolan's Tenet (July 17th, 2020)

The scene where the 3 guys are on the street in a circle talking/planning something and the camera moves in a circular motion is just like a scene from Inception. I can just picture Leo and his crew standing around just down the block from those Tenet guys. :lol

"Can you guys please keep it down over there with the music? We're talking about Inception over here!!"

"Sorry, we're talking about Inversion and crashing planes."

"Did someone say something about crashing a plane, with no survivors? The fire rises brothers."

Re: Christopher Nolan's Tenet (July 17th, 2020)

I'll check this one out, cause I am curious. But, trailers haven't blown me away. Either way, I'll check it out on the off-chance it's another movie as good as Inception.
