I personally would use a Hot Toys body and find myself a new suit for him to wear... you could probably re-use the cape from the DCD superman and maybe the logo. The hard part would be the boots I think... unless there's some way of shrinking them.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I am going to send the entire DC Direct Classic Superman body to Les Walker. He offered to make some changes to the body for me. So, I'm going to go that direction with it now.

Those are going to have be some pretty hefty changes. From the pics you posted that body is just too big in scale for that head.Even with a shorter neck it will still look like a pin head...To each his own though, Les, did a great job on it for you.

Congrats!!

:D

Well, if even after the changes Les makes to it, and it still doesn't look right to me...I'll try out the Hot Toys Superman body. We'll see...

you sooo need to get rid of that giraffe neck...

The body is amazingly distracting. The head sculpt is great but the body just doesn't work.

I'm gonna do what I can to make it work for you Mike. You have lost an intact DCD Superman in all this, so we need to see what we can do to save that and keep the figure idea alive with it if possible. I'll do my best. The head will always be a tad small though. But I may can help him look a little better than it does now. A bit more proportioned at least.
:D

Good luck less. I still say the best option is to scrap the body, retailor the outfit for a smaller body. those DCD Bodies actualy make pretty good base bodies for Darth Vader.

That is fine Les. It will be nice to see it after you are able to work on it some more. If anything I will still try to find a smaller body from Sideshow or Hot Toys that is in better proportion to the head you've made. My hope is that the head will fit onto a Hot Toys Superman Returns neck post. Then I can put the outfit on the body and go from there.

But, first, I want you to do what you can to make it work on the DCD Superman body I have it on now. As you said, you can make the neck bigger, and do some adjustments in some areas on the neck. I think it would look better if you can shave down the biceps on his arms too. Chris Reeve was very fit and in great shape to get into the skintight Superman outfit. But his arms were not half as big as the DCD Superman arms are. So, maybe dremelling or cutting down the biceps on his arms would help the body look more like Chris' body did. Would you be able to do that for me? :D
