Didn't see any threads on these and wanted to create two threads for these, but I'll combine them.

Anybody watching these 2 great new shows?

Chuck: is awesome and Sarah the CIA chick is gorgeous, I love this show.

Pushing Daisies: DAMNIT!! I missed the premier, all 'cause of HALO!!

Chuck is darn good.

Pushing Daisies was really good but I don't see how they can write 30 episodes of it.

Pushing Daisies was neat but the whole time thing got a bit annoying. Could be interesting but I agree with Shropt in that I don't know how long it can stay fresh.

yea, really enjoyed Chuck a lot. At first, I thought it was going to be TOO much like Jake 2.0; which I still think. Which I don't mind, I like that show as well.

I loved Pushing Daisies. The whole dark comedy, fairy tale aspect of the show was so new and refreshing. Plus, I love Jim Dale as the narrator, he's awesome. I do agree with you guys that I find it hard to believe that the show can stay fresh and have a lot of episodes. Lots of clever writting will be needed. DId anyone else notice, that whatever he touches and doesn't retouch lives forever I mean normal dogs don't live like 20 years...should be interesting.

I thoroughly enjoyed pushing daisies and it has a lot of potential. If subplot story arcs last 2-3 episodes then it has the ability to stay fresh.

Pushing Daisies is probably one of the best new shows I've seen this season. Definitely a Tim Burton vibe through the whole thing. I hope they can keep it fresh.

I initially watched Chuck just because I knew Adam Baldwin was going to be on it. I really ended up liking it. I especially liked the Lost reference in last week's episode.

I was also surprised by Reaper on CW. I hadn't heard anything about it and just happened to catch it when flipping around looking for something to watch.

My wife and I finally got around to watching Pushing Daisies last night and about 2/3 of the way through I made that exact comment to her about how great it is but I can't see being interesting for more than abot 6 episodes. It would be a cool Mini-Series. I think the whole can't touch the girl he loves thing will get old fast. I sort of feel the same way about Chuck. Of the new shows so far this season Reaper is my favorite. Ray Wise is the man.

Chuck is a good show. It's kept my attention so far, plus I enjoy Adam Baldwin in it.

Reaper is good too. I think it has some potential. Pretty much the entire week is now booked with some show now.

Mon- Chuck, Heroes
Tues- Reaper
Wed- Bionic Woman
Thurs- CSI: Vegas

I've really liked Chuck - better than Jake 2.0 which was a similar concept. Although the idea of the CIA and NSA being at war with each other is kind of scary and cynical.

I loved Pushing Daisies, Sonnenfeld directed the pilot and it showed. But add me to the list of people who wonder if they can sustain the tone and whimsy for 100 episodes, or even 22.

:rock :rock :rock

That was awesome, I thought I was the only one that caught that!

So far, Pushing Daisies is the winner of the new season for me and they are keeping me interested (although I wonder if they can keep it up as many have already stated)...

... but here is one question I have... we've seen that people come back to life with all their injuries in tact, etc. If that is the case, that would mean Chuck has been autopsied, drained of blood, and filled with embalming fluid since she was murdered and already on the way to be buried when brought back. Wouldn't there be problems???

Isn't Chuck (Pushing Daisies) Jewish? If so she wouldn't have been embalmed. But she probably wouldn't have been in that funeral home either.

For 3 episodes Daisies has done a good job of sustaining the whimsy - it's definitely the most looked forward to show. But "Chuck" is a fun show - hope they continue the "agents get in trouble trying to protect Chuck and he has to rescue them" mode for every episode, like they have.

Chuck's a pretty good show, my only nit is I don't think it needs to be an hour long. 1/2 hour would be a bit easier to watch regularly IMO.

SILENCE !!!! It needs to be an hour. Because we need to see Sarah in her underwear for 10 minutes an episode, which I have no problem with.

With Pushing Daisies, last episode, Ned was touching people through the cloth over them and they were waking up. So wouldn't he be touching Chuck through material and instantly make her dead again? Little plot hole, that I didn't want to find :monkey2:monkey2

I'm lovin' both shows! They're both fun. And I'm still really liking Reaper.

Bionic Woman, on the other hand...
