Went to see movie last night in glorious 2D.
Not interested in seeing movies made 3D movies post shooting.

It's not a patch on the original but it was still great fun. :)

They do this one very very annoying thing though which I thought was a bit disrespectful.

I'm not still not convinced by Letterrier as a director either. There's something clunky about the way he shoots his movies.

Excellent movie! Great popcorn flick- outstanding action sequences- good acting, just solid all around. Some effects scenes (Medusa) are very atmospheric and well done. All the negative reviews are just going off the deep end. It is a nice update of the original.
Now the "3D" IS disappointing. Not enough was done in post production for 3D, it was rushed. As Cameron said it is more like 2.8 D...

Letterrier is a bit of a hack, he has no flair for cgi either. Some of it was ps3 standard. Bubo? ;(

Thanks mate :). The Go hero Perseus needs many changes for an Screen accurate look but some minor changes can be enought to have a great figure.

Looking good so far! You're starting to capture that young Harry Hamlin from 1981 in the movie. I am interested in buying a cast of it from you if you will sell them. I want to get the Go Hero "Wrath Of The Titans" Perseus figure, and put your head sculpt on it someday. Thanks! :D

Another point of view to see some changes in the hairsculpt and other things. I'm still working..

Looking good RJ, I think HT could use your help. :monkey3

Saw the movie a few days ago and I thought it was a total disaster. Thank god I didnt spend any more cash to see it in 3D. The acting was horrible. The story line and the pace at which the movie carried on with seemed very "awkward". Why the hell is Perseus fighting for and defending a city hes not apart of?...Why does he fall for a women he has almost little to no contact with through out the movie? This movie has so many plot holes I felt like getting up and walking out of the theater.

Their was one scene where Perseus is fighting a scorpion and then the next scene cuts to him bursting out of the scorpions head:confused:.....how the HELL did he get INSIDE the scorpion in the first place???

Then theirs another scene where Hades is talking to his brother zeus infront of everyone about releasing the kraken. Then zeus asks everyone to leave so him and Hades can speak alone. As soon as they leave Zeus turns around and says "RELEASE THE KRAKEN". What the hell did he ask everyone have to leave for??? they didnt talk about anything!

This movie was a colossal over hyped waste of time.

my understanding was the scorpion landed on top of him. He cut his way out from underneath.

Your right...that would NORMALLY make scense. Except that was never shown. You see the scorpion come at him...then it just cuts to him bursting out of his head. Some great editors they got there

I watched the movie over the weekend and thought it was a fun flick to watch. It's not a classic, but it was good "sword and sandal" fun with some good acting. I felt more was put into production than just getting big name actors (which is what many movies seem to do these days).

That scene was odd... I assumed there would be some kind of argument between the two of them, but no. Just "Release the Kraken"?!? Very strange, makes me wonder if there was a bit of plot in there the decided to cut.

And I seem to remember seeing (or at least understanding) that the Scorpion had landed on him before he cut his way out. While it was fairly cheesey, I didn't notice a hole in that scene.

More pics for this thread. My last adquisition, Calibos from gentle giant Clash of the Titans series

Much better! Your custom head actually looks like Harry Hamlin! :D Great work! Are you going to sell any casts of him? I hope so! Please let me know. I'd love to get one. I want to get the Go Hero Perseus and do the same thing you did. Please PM me and let me know if you are going to sell casts of it. Thanks!

You're right! The original Ray Harryhausen design of Medusa truly is a classic! The new one is just a CGI creature put together in a computer. Harryhausen created all of his wonderful monsters and creatures with his own two hands and filmed them in "stop-motion" animation. That is now a lost art. Only recently was stop-motion used in the movie, The Fantastic Mr. Fox. But they can't hold a candle to Harryhausen! :bow :D

Those plotholes have one, simple explanation: studio edit.:banghead
