Love it!!! Grant was so freaking cool & quite a character off screen as well. That is such a great custom right there, bravo sir. Also, I have a few figures in the works coming soon Geronimo.

Great stuff on here and I wanted to add one of the toughest to the thread. The Duke in The Searchers.

I've been revisiting your Duke figure and really like what you did. I'm thinking about putting one together myself at some point...where did you get his hat? It looks really nice and leather-like from the pics...is it?

Hi, Geronimo, I am so glad to hear that the Duke will be joining your collection soon. The hat is a soft vinyl that I painted with acrylics & weathered with soft chalk pastels. I bought the hat here a few years ago, but they don't seem to carry the ones I used for Wayne & Eastwood anymore:

It really is a great likeness! Yeah, I love sculpting but have slowed down on my Brando Sculpt to do some commissions! I really should get around to finishing him, I really need a Brando figure to go along with my others!

Well, here is my latest addition to the collection. I present The Duke as John T. Chance in Rio Bravo. I'm still waiting for BGT to send my winchester rifle for him, so I borrowed my Ethan Edwards rifle for the picture.

Didn't really do much with this guy, other than make him climb a wall...does Captain Jack qualify as a "tough guy"?

Ya know, you are absolutely right Ironman! I don't know what I was thinking. I was sleep deprived when I posted those pictures. He doesn't belong on a "Classic Tough guy" thread because he's not tough! He doesn't even walk tough. He walks like a wimp! Does everyone agree? My mistake!

I think your Jack is a great looking custom and I'm glad you posted him. When I think of the classic tough guy, what comes to mind are the all time greats for me, but I love the idea of adding some more recent tough guys. I immediately think of these guys for more recent stuff. I put together this Expendables team for my Hot Toys Barney Ross. Stallone said he always wanted to do a Magnificent Seven/ Dirty Dozen type of movie with other action stars, so he got these guys together. All the figures are my custom bashes except for Sly.

Yeah, me either. I think the character is an ok character and the figure is great but Captain Jack Sparrow just isn't "tough guy" material. Maybe Captain Jack Harkness but not Sparrow.
Just my opinion.

The Expendables are definitely some of modern day's tough guys.
