What the hell is the point of that "rainbow" effect anyway?

Looks damn silly to me.

the BD versions shipped after and were probably manufactured after the clean versions.
I recall ALOT of problems with the clean versions when they started shipping.

My bet, would be they had to make a new small run of clean versions for replacements of returned pieces (hence your wait) that were manufactured during the same time the factory was working on the BD versions and they accidentally stuck a BD base label on your newly manufactured clean version cause it was going thru at the same time. .... just a guess tho.

I agree, I think this is exactly what happened.

I like the effect personally, and it nowhere near as "in your face" as on the prototype... I'm looking at mine and I don't even see any yellow in it... just the blue and red tones.

Yea, I don't really see any yellow either. It adds a nice touch in my opinion.

Maybe I should just scrape off "Combat Edition" with a razor blade or something?

That seams like the wrong thing to do. Let the buyer decide what to do it. It could be simply just a misprint. Happens with figures. Wrong figure on the card, upside figure. Here, they forgot to shut the "Combat Edition" part of the template spray off. Big deal. Has the rainbow, it's good, legit. just like "Skittles", you can't fake "the rainbow,".

Just be happy it isn't like one eye lighting up brighter than the other or something similar that you can't do anything about.

Mistakes do happen. Amin Ko had the same problem with his 1:1 IM Mark 2 bust which came with Mark 3 on the base but in Mark 2 colours. Just take a picture of the 2 busts side by side and show them to him and he will be able to see the difference a mile off. Good luck with the sale Cheers :D

I just watched a video from solidsnake and he says his clean endo is number 275 of 750. Pretty sure this was an unnumbered run and the sideshow site shows no edition number. For those of you with clean versions, are they numbered on the bottom or on the box?
