I was wondering the chances of a new CW Kenobi.

I would wager slim. With Obi-Wan, the original CW version was unique enough to make a figure based on it, Anakin pretty much was his standard Jedi robes, the new 3D show offers a new design to base a figure on, and being more realistic, would make the figure translation easier.

I think we'll see more CW, but not repeat characters. If they did an Obi-Wan based on the new series, I'd get it though.

I was never too thrilled with the original Obi CW outfit. It was just too close to a regular clone armor. I much prefer this newer style with the shoulder and chest piece, so I really hope they make a new CW Obi. I think this Anakin and a new Obi would look great together!

my money is on Ahsoka not making it out of the animated series alive... but as much as i would dig seeing Dooku commit the act, i will bet it will be one of self sacrifice (ala EU Chewbacca)

I'm all for a good decapitation or two, probebly why i like the Highlander movies (well..1 and..er...yea thats abou it) and the Highlander TV series....


But i dont see the little annoying orange bint being killed off...ever...gotta remember they want to market Star Wars to kids, especially young girls in the case of the small orange one

Personally i'd like to see Anakin get sick of her constant bumbling and stick her in a airlock, but i know that wont happen...

So i vote she gets fed to 4 Nexu on Geonosis, the last thing Anakin see's of her is her black and white head-tails (or whatever they are) being woofed down by an angry Nexu who is a relative of the one Padme AND Anakin killed in Episode Two (just to tie the films to the series even more)


In all honesty, if she dies they'll do all they can to make it a heart wrenching moment where (as everyone else has said) Anakin falls deeper into darkness, grows his hair long and starts listening to death metal and cutting himself

Likey, afterall, Vader is simply "the galaxies biggest Emo kid, except with super-powers"

I really love Jabba as well, but its only from ROTJ. Just never liked how he looked in the SE of ANH... or really liked the scene being added back in. And in TPM he was just part of a larger sequence that I didn't really care for either.

I hate the CG Jabbas from TPM and ANH:SE as well but for some reason I don't mind him in CW. I think he gets a pass because its animated and everyone looks and sounds quite different. Even more distracting than the live-action animation is his voice. The TPM and ANH:SE Jabbas sound nothing like their sinister ROTJ counterpart. I assume whoever did the voice for ROTJ Jabba either passed away or wasn't available. A shame because that voice saying "Ho ho ho ho", "kawa wookiee," and so on is as iconic as his look IMO.

As for CW Anakin I really like the fig and missed the exclusive by about an hour. I really hope the 750 ES doesn't prevent me from getting a conversion.

But I feel the same way about the PT Jabbas, they just don't have the same feel as the original.

Yeah, I just can't stand the CG Jabbas. The first version in the special editions was an abomination, and then they improved it so it was just horrible. But it still looks nothing like the ROTJ Jabba, which was in my opinion a masterpiece of sculpting and puppeteering. The clone wars Jabba is a great design though. Love the Hasbro figure.

This was a good hutt, but doesn't look like it could evolve into the ROTJ design ever.

This was just terrble, but what's most surprising is it's like a downgrade from the TPM CGI, which makes no sense as it came after.

And this one's neat just to see him in cartoon form.

I like the cartoon one enough that I recently had Tom Hodges draw this 3-card sketch card piece of him and his retinue.

I also have a funny picture of the Hasbro figure that I should post when I get home.

CW is fine and a PT Jabba could've been ok had he had any point for being there other than fan wanking, but I think Jabba has no business in any film other than RotJ. It ruins the build up and mystery, esp the craptacular ANH scene.

it's not that, but lucas made a point when he killed the Aayla. it's still his universe, and at the end of the day, his word is law. if they make that change to Asajj's story, then they make that change.

The Clone wars comics by Dark Horse. They're actualy quite good. In a nutshell, Anakin Defeats AsajjEVERY time they fight, but it takes it's tole on her. Dooku keeps bringing her back from the brink of death over and over again. by the end, she's got a cybernetic eye, Brain implants, a cybernteic Arm ( I think) and other various prostetic parts. She Takes a hit, and uses the force to slow her metabolisim, to seem dead. Obi-wan has her body transported back to her homeworld ( or was it coriscaunt? I forget) and she wakes p in mid-trip, and hijacks the ship, yelling the pilots to take her beyond the outter rim, she's tired of being dooku's pawn, and puppet. she simply wants peace.

Here's that picture I was talking about. My son and I were playing with the figure when noticed that one of the nuts from his toy building set would make a perfect hat for him. Then of course I had to make a cane out of part of a q-tip colored with a sharpie. Still need to make a bow tie.
