I hate this exclusive understanding of GG, it makes collecting such a difficult and expensive hobby for nothing :emperor :emperor

I like things to be hard to get, it's part of the fun. If I could go to Walmart and get everything I wanted it wouldn't be so much fun, and I'd expect to pay WAY less. BUT there's a line, and especially with Star Wars (due to the huge fan base over other titles) and GG really went nuts this year.

if it is up to some acceptable limits yes I agree but as you wrote, GG exagaraggted this year,

plus if you are a foreign collector and is not so easy to attend to conventions, than it really is a headache to collect

exactly... however im just too poor to make it again. i'm afraid i'll end up spending over $150 to get my hands on one. this is why i'm going out on a limb and trying to find a generous Freak here that could possibly get one for me and not charge me too much for it.

I think I have purchased my last GG item. Screw them.

I went that route after the Slave Leia thing and the Exclusive membership club idea. My GG collection was small anyway (and I think tomandshell bought one!) so it was no great loss for me.

I couldn't stand the idea of paying for the club meembership as a possible right to buy something. Seemed truly avaricious. :emperor

I could go on and on about how much this p*$$@# me off but I did a ton of $#@$%in' about it during Toy Fair.

The animated GG line is one of my favorites so I'll be getting this along with the exclusive Yoda/R2 probably through ebay.

Yea, I REALLY loved the CW Maquettes, but I just gave up on them and sold them off. Which is a real shame, if they had better business sense, they would sell a lot more merchandize, but alas, they don't...

both!!! i quit the Gentle Giant statues after i got my international version of Darth Maul and felt they ripped people off with it. for what i paid i think it isn't as great as it should've been.
