It does look a bit better.

I might try a bit of fishing line under the collar and wig tape on the neck when I get mine. That should bring it in nice and tight.

It seems like it should be a simple task to tighten the tie to draw the collar together. I've had several goes since the last photo, using more and more force, but the tie is resistant.

There may have been the minutest bit of improvement but you're right, it's the collar that needs tightening to meet the knot of the tie. I only have double sided tape, which usually loses its stickiness after a while.

The people complaining on FB are likely part of the same lot that complain on every release except Hot Toys, the valve of the set is great, try asking how much any of the Viper customs went for and maybe... nah they won't care they just like to complain.

They're not completely wrong. The price of 1:6 figures over the last couple decades has risen more than any other "toy" I can think of. I recall when Sideshow started charging $50 for their figures and people went a bit insane. Paying sub $30 for fairly decent (for the time and some still hold up) Universal Monsters, Monty Python, and Dark Crystal was really great. Now for some it'll be like a car or mortgage payment. Times certainly *have* changed. Given that, Mars has been on the median or low end for a while, but they also don't have to worry about paying for a license.

I think I'm yet to see him tall enough.

View attachment 756615

He's the perfect height relative to Hot Toys' Batman, which is the rough benchmark I think Mars has been using since their Joker was too short as well.

The height difference is 0.75", which is 4.5" in real life:

Adam West 6' 1 1/2” = 12.25” in 1/6 (HT Batman is 11.75")

AlanNapier 6' 6” = 13” in 1/6 (Mars figure = 12.5")

Adding half an inch to Alfred to make him 13", which would be exactly 1/6, made him too tall for the others.

Here is 12.5" Alfred next to the Saturn (aka Mars) Batman:

The top of his glasses are about level with the top of Batman's head, which is where they would be if Alfred was standing upright in the photo you posted, and not stooping with his head tilted:

Looking at his bowler wearing episodes, S01E33 and S03E11-13, he always wore it at a jaunty angle, pulled down to his right:

Mars are sculpting it level:

I just found the official product photos for Alfred on a wholesaler's site. KG Hobby and Giantoy didn't seem to want to dare showing them.
