They should be embarrassed about trying to push a sequel to this when the likes of D9 are around.

For me, the most enjoyable part was that feeling of helplessness you had... And most of that was from the fact that you had no freakin idea what was going on. If this really happened, that would most definitely be the case, we would all just be running and wondering what the F just happened. :lol

I'd be excited for a sequel, they should tell it from the military perspective this time... Would give people more answers and still give them drama from feeling helpless.

Yeah I loved this movie! I got stuck close to the front of theater when I first saw it and it made the experience even better!

i thought the first one was ok. nothing life altering but not terrible...after ultraviolet it takes alot.

I loved Cloverfield, i hope the new 1 is totally new though and not the same movie from someone elses point of view.

I am good with a new Cloverfield. I was only just on the "like" side of the fence on the first. But I do like the idea of an American giant monster a la "Godzilla". And I had no problem with the vague nature of the first film as it seemed obvious to me that it was intended as an introduction of the monster without letting too much out about it so that it could be changed if there was need.

What I do not want to see is the monster being undefeatably large as the one in the posted youtube video is. It would take like 5 nukes to kill that thing. Also...if it were that big, there would be no interest in eating people as they would be too small to bother with.

And in that line...the idea stated about the first movie being a panicked creature as opposed to a hungry one would make the idea of a larger monster a little more paletable provided that the little "bugs" falling off of them are taking care of the close-quarters gore for the movie. But still, if the monster is overly large...defeating it would be all the less believable.
