I received my CM Predator. Absolutely an incredible piece!
I posted the pics in this forum, but under a different thread, Sideshow Predator vs CM Predator which one.
I put up lots of images of both. You will have to scroll down past halfway, past the first set of pics where there is both predators (just look for my ID)

I know what you mean. Reason I bought is that I speculated this piece will be worth a lot more in the year to years to come. Now this is just IMO. I bought it because it was at the $2000 mark which is the cheapest I have seen it.

Actually, I'm going to agree with you on the value of this going up, especially with the news that they only made 500 after all. This is one of those pieces that people won't sell for any less than they paid, if at all. Definitely a work of art.

Again, take a look at the pics, you will not be disappointed if you get a mint one. I took Shawn-Ray's advice, which I noticed below he gave you the same advice, do it (given you got the space and funds). This will ONLY go up in price. You think it is expensive know, wait two years, it will be $1 G to $2G more. Again, this IMO!

Thanks Shawn-Ray, you were one of two people (the other one Turtle) who I went on their comments and pics. It is amazing, and like you, I still can't go by it without stopping to take a look at it.

Yes, on ebay is where I found mine. There is still one from the same buyer for the $2000 mark.
Yes, and I see it going up quickly in a year given two things: economy recovers, and CM does not make anymore. They are still in their rights to do so up to 1000. Question is will they?

pre-ordered it from forbiddenplanet.co.uk when they first posted it beginning of last year so was a very good price...just over £900 and by the time delivery came the value of $-£ was much lower so equated to just over $1,400 delivered..!!! oh and he is flawless..........
I'm so tempted to take the plunge and get CM Predator. I was at SDCC last year and was blown away by how big and real it looked. Here are some pics of the CM Predator that was on display at SDCC last year. I somehow think the paint job on production version is not detail enough. To those who owned this awesome piece (Turtle, Batman29, THX217, JSTEP13, Kinky Queen, Tigerfeet), what do you guys think compare to the pics below. I appreciate your comments.
It is SPOT ON to what you see in the pics. I cant tell a difference at all. That was one of the reasons I bought because you always figure there's gonna be a difference between proto (if that's even the proto?) shots and what's in hand.
Here's the way I look at it. Are you a quantity guy or a quality guy. For the same price of having this you could have most, if not all, the HT Preds OR you can have one ULTIMATE represenation of an iconic character. If you want a family of 14" figs, there's nothing wrong with that, then forget the CM pred.
If you want one piece that's a beauty to look at or that's gonna knock your socks and everyone else's socks off when they see it or that can only go up in value once it's out of circulation, forget the toys and get the CM. (disclaimer: that's not a knock on toys, I like toys, I collect toys - check out my sig for pics of my mancave)

Either way, good luck. Just remember, when making big decisions like this, try and project yourself 1-5 years down the road and think about what kind of collector you are going to be. If you see yourself moving up and on to bigger and better things, like most of eventually do, then you know the answer of what you need to do....
By the way, Im not one of those people who will defend a product just because they own it. Ive bought plenty of things before where I get it, try it out and dont like it. I recently bought the Wolf Bust after much deliberation. I got it, had it for about 3 weeks, didnt like it and shipped it back. Went on to use that money towards a 1:2 Terminator...if I dont like it, Ill say it, and I LOVE the CM Predator - to ME it's perfect in every way. Trust me, if there was any reason not to like it, I wouldve had no problem shipping it back. There are PLENTY of other things I couldve used 2K on...
It's all about quailty for me. I've reached the point of appreciating these masterpieces as I end up selling the others every now and then. After owning the CM T800, I see how great it is to have the one masterpiece vs the other smaller items. Quick question, I do see a bit of greenish tint on the skin (especially the face) from the pics. Does the production have it?
