Collectibles and CATS...

So, I've recently added a second cat to our little family and have found that he is quite the nosy type.. My first cat pays them no mind at all. But this new guy has already tried swiping at a few of my life-size busts and I'm starting to think I need to put them on a higher shelf where he can't reach. I really don't want to run into any kind of horror situations. I love my collectibles.

What are some of YOUR collectible horror stories you've had with your feline?

My cat knocked my Jason PF off a table and smashed it to pieces. Also bit the fingers of an Alien cinemaquette off and rubbed some of the paint off of the legs somehow.

Poor little fella

I know. As parent to kitties, that broke my heart.

We have 3 cats. I honestly have no idea how we got so lucky, but they truly pay no attention to any of our collectibles. I even have our Lord Of Darkness Bust on my desk, which our boys jump on from time to time. And nothing. I figured our eldest cat, Phoenix would have at least nibbled on the horns. But luckily, nope. We put our serenity ship (qmx latest version) beside our tv, and it has a shuttle that can be thrown to the ground, and again, nothing!

I have no idea how this is possible with three boys, but I chalk it up to good parenting...of the kitties.

My cat leaves my collectibles alone. She just sniffs them if she gets close to one, but that's it. But i have a certain way of saying "no" to her, and when she hears it, she respects my authority.

One of mine just tried to jump up on one of my shelves like 15 mins ago. Luckily its the rarest of events plus I keep the room closed off if I'm not in it. I try to enclose parts of my collection that aren't worth the risk of taking a southpaw to the pollys. e.g Cobra Commander PF.

She clued in @ me being pissed real quick and made a bee line into the next room.

True.. but it looks like this one has the ligth up feature on the eyes.
