ND needs to send Ucla a thank you note. They knocked Brakley out the game and out for the game against ND.

Safe prediction...

1. ND
2. Bama
3. UGA
4. Florida
5. Oregon
6. Kstate
7. LSU
8. Texas A&M
9. South Carolina
10. FSU
11. Clemson
12. Stanford
13. Oklahoma
14. Nebraska
15. Texas

I was close. Looks like Stanford was the biggest winner this week.

1. ND
2. Alabama
3. UGA
4. Florida
5. Oregon
6. Kstate
7. LSU
8. Stanford
9. Texas A&M
10. FSU

So going back to earlier conversation, if ND loses you're going to end up with a Bama vs. Florida or a UGA vs. Florida rematch for the title game. Even with two more wins Oregon doesn't have enough time to make up the computer points on Florida if Florida beats a top ten FSU team.

Yeah they will. They need to pass 3 teams, ND loses, there is one, either Georgia , Alabama, or Florida will lose one more game, and one will be sitting on their ass. They still need help from UCLA next week to have a chance to play two more ranked teams.

Which division do they join, cause neither are Legends or Leaders. Well, most of the Big10 isn't either, but still.

Break up of the ACC. Clemson and Floriduh State, welcome to the Big 12.

Ugh! Don't remind me of those embarrassing names. I'm looking at you Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany.

Here's your answer EF....

"When Maryland and Rutgers join, they will move into the Leaders Division occupied by Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue and Indiana. Illinois then would shift from the Leaders to the Legends Division." -Espn.com

Yup, sure looks like the Bruins did a great job.
Barkley is out and I don't see the Fighting Irish losing to the Trojans.

So, it's quite possible we're looking at ND vs Alabama in the big dance.

I'm still hoping UCLA isn't done and they take down Stanford this Saturday too. :rock

Arkansas and West Virginia are the biggest losers on that list. WVU got as far as 6th I think and has dropped 5 in a row.

USC was overrated.

Awwwwburn is a joke.

Florida should not be in the top 10, too many close games with weak non conference teams.

I'm a fan of the team and I'll say they're probably overrated. However how did they have too many close non-conference games? The only one on schedule I can see is the recent sloppy game with UL-Lafayette.

Bowling Green was close till the 4th quarter and they should have demolished that terrible Mizzery team. A nice win over ATM and LSU though.

I disagree USC was overrated. They were one of the best teams last year and had almost every important piece coming back.

That's the preseason poll with an *. Once Tyrann Mathieu was suspended by LSU they created a "new" preseason poll....the one with USC #1. That is the poll everyone references, as if the original poll with LSU #1 doesn't even exist.

I hate being preseason #1.

And how in the hell does Notre Dame continuously get ranked?:slap

Kind of invalidates the whole thing, doesn't it? Of course USC is number 2. After all, they did manage to defeat that powerhouse Notre Dame team last year  I'm surprised they didn't find a way to stick Ohio State in there.

I found these few comments about pre season polls.:lol

Well I can't be right every single time :lol But on balance, I'm not sure that I would take the approach that the pre-season polls were particularly good or accurate. . .

I do genuinely hope Notre Dame can make it to the title game against Alabama, and then we'll see whether or not that ranking is really warranted.
