The only sensible thing the NCAA can do is suspend the entire SEC for a half this coming Saturday.

I don't know they could take a few scholarships and vacate wins because it won't effect there current $.

Like they did to USC, if they had caught Bush while he was there I would guess nothing would have happened ala Scam Newton and Johnny "the signature" Football.

Ohio State got into trouble because the coach new about it, didn't say anything and tried to cover it up. I think the Bush thing was because someone at the school (assistant coach?) was involved.

The situation with Alabama is between a player and an agent wanting the player to sign with him to be his agent. If the school didn't know, etc. then they are in the clear however, the player's amateur status could be null and void if he received the benefits and thus the games he played in after receiving the benefits would probably be vacated.

Something needs to happen to the agents because this has been going on for a long time. If you have NFL talented players there is always going to be a risk of this happening unless there is jail-time involved for the agents and their runners.

The NCAA is a joke anyhow. To even try to succeed at a level where the NFL would even give a damn about looking at you, you aready sacrifice so much by not being able to really work. I don't blame these players for taking perks. I probably would too. Maybe to some, I'm stupid for saying that. But if the NCAA can make all this money on my merchandise and on my talents (if I had any like a Manziel, a Bush, or someone) and I can't even get money fr my own autograph? I'd be kind of upset.

I know it's the way things are, and in a sense, maybe the NCAA is trying to "purify" college football (but I don't truly believe that). And I can't stand Johnny Football or many of the diva players that come out with this entitled attitude, but everybody has bills to pay in college and these guys are one major injury away from that future vanishing before their eyes.

Sounds like Oklahoma State is in deep ****

Not quite, appears to be a complete fabricated story.

Thayer Evans and Sport Illustrated are prolly going to be sued by Oklahoma State and several former players. :rotfl

They are STUDENT athletes, they are already getting 25k+ a year in freebees and thats for cheap schools, someone going to USC is getting at least 70k in freebees. Sure many of these players think they will never need that free education because most are too stupid to realize they are just one play away from needing it.

I mean if they want to just get paid why not create a minor leauge where they can just skip college and go hope to make it. They won't get all the accolades all the glamor ect.. Lets see how fast they would rather be playing college ball even though they are making money now.
