I know so many of the items just looked great. I'm so close to getting the Darkness PF it's not funny.

No, I didn't. :( I don't know why I didn't take more of the SS folks around the booth. Gotta make sure to do that next year.

I couldn't get over the detail in their clothing and accessories, too. The pots and pans on Sam's back... just WOW! :google

I know. It was insane just how much detail they got into those little guys. This rivals any armored figure IMO for detail due to the size of the figures.

Re: Comic-Con 2007 The Josh Experience Part 3

Nice photos ;-)
The Hobbits are so small but look great.

Re: Comic-Con 2007 The Josh Experience Part 3

I did take a couple pics of the CM items. I did not take any of the Endo head.

OMG!! JOSH! Thank you for the Sparrow pic. Simply stunning! :bow

You just amped my excitement level even more. :monkey5

Re: Comic-Con 2007 The Josh Experience Part 3

Thanks! I can't believe how great they look--yeah they're not quite as tiny as they ought be, but who cares? They're still SUPER-detailed, and really they look just fine next to the taller figures--just a little bend at the knees and they look fantastic! I can't wait to get them!

Re: Comic-Con 2007 The Josh Experience Part 3

No problem EL. I should have taken more but I was in a hurry to get to the Tin Fish for lunch. :lol Kind of kicking myself for not taking more.

Cap I agree. They're amazing!! I can't put into words how charged up I am over this and how cool it was to talk with Tim Miller the sculptor about his work. I had 2 let him know just how great they came came out.

Re: Comic-Con 2007 The Josh Experience Part 3

You talked with him? Josh--tell me everything! They really are gorgeous. I can't get over how utterly beautiful they look--at last the collection is starting to get some diversity! I always get jealous when I see how varied and rich the Star Wars collection is getting--at last the Lord of the Rings line is starting to take form! They'll look great with Aragorn or Les' Faramir repaint. I'm so excited!!!

Re: Comic-Con 2007 The Josh Experience Part 3

I talked with Tim a couple of times actually. He's really cool and super talented as you can tell. Mainly just shot the breeze about collecting, when he got into sculpting, and some just general life stuff. He told me what he liked and didn't like about them but I told him nah no worries on anything they came out perfectly. I also said to him thanks for really doing these two characters some serious justice in this scale as well as Plo and Kit Fisto.

Re: Comic-Con 2007 The Josh Experience Part 3

That's so cool! Yeah, this Tim Miller fellow really deserves a gold medal for this stuff. I thought he was just a creature guy--it seems though that he's one of the best portrait sculpters out there! I can't wait to order these next week!
