i think there's a reprint of the #1 if i'm not mistaken, but they're still worth 1-2 G's i think. it was reprinted a couple years later i believe.

Yeah, an ex girlfriend of mine had one. She took out a stack of comics her brother had given her one day, and sitting there was X-Men #1. I nearly freaked out, but I calmly took it out of it plastic and flipped to the copyright, and it was listed as 1973, a few years after the original printing. I didn't have the heart to tell her it wasn't the original... I'm sure she'll find out one day.
 
I'm really suprised that not alot of comic statue collectors actually read the comics. Don't just get a cool looking cover, but get an essential, iconic comic for each character.

well that's bang on to the dio.

problem with comics is that there is so many different variants to choose from it's so hard to find one to fit..
