Comiquettes are usually comic book characters, right? "Maquettes" seem to refer to movie characters. So, Iron Man movie=Maquette. Iron Man comic=Comiquette.

Don't know about the price differences, though.

Right well I knew that comiquettes pertain only to comic book characters but was wondering why some comic book characters are also maquettes. Didn't realize maquette was for movies. Thanks for clearing that up.

Could possibly include book characters, or characters from other media (like Buffy). But Sideshow tends to do movie characters as Maquettes more than anything. Of course, "maquette" could refer to different things beyond this, but I think that's the distinction for Sideshow's categorization. I could be wrong, though.

I've always wondered the same thing! I came to the conclusion like you did as well! I do love my Iron Man MK VI Maquette which was my 1st! I'm waiting for my second in War Machine!
