Re: Did anyone see Community on NBC tonight?
Still a great episode.
Still a great episode.
Meh. It was a good episode. But the Halloween and Finale's are normally balls to the wall. This one wasn't a 'classic' episode to me. Although I'm glad they've scaled back Chang for a few episodes. He's best in small doses.
A good or even mediocre (if there was such a thing) episode of Community is miles better than most of the crap on TV.
Community (NBC) — I saw something really cool on Tumblr that compared last week’s gay-riffic episode to one of Stefon’s clubs on “Saturday Night Live.” “The city’s hottest club is COMMUNITY. It has everything: Blogons. Wet wipes. A guy dressed like Tron. Fabulous cross-dressing phenomenon Urbana Champagne. Black Hitler. And what’s that in the corner? Is that Inspector Spacetime? No. It’s an astronaut making paninis. The first 500 people through the door get an ivory toupee.”
Still funny enough, but im kind of annoyed that this season has very little to do with the college aspect. You know, what the show is supposed to be about it. Its gotten a bit too absurd.
The main reason I was drawn to this show in the first place is because of the humerous (and suprisingly accurate) take on the college experience. The idea that everyone gets to college with these preconcieved notions from movies that it is nothing but one big crazy party. So when they arrive and find that it really isn't that way, they are so desperate for some of the craziness they saw in movies that they let thier pop-culture fueled imagination turn mundane experiences into wacky, surrealist adventures.
There's been 7 episodes so far this season and 2 haven't taken place in the College. And those 2 have been (arguably) the strongest of the season.

In the first season it was actually pretty close. And thats what I watched it for.Yeah, I haven't exactly been watching Community for its accurate depiction of college.
NBC put this show on "hold" (starting in January)
