:lol I was at Comic Con in Miami this past weekend, so I'm still trying to recover from that. Also been trying to study for classes this week so I haven't been posting or replying much. But all is good! :1-1:

But getting back to the piece: That cape is dead on. It really adds a lot and you executed it perfectly. As many have already said, AMAZING job. Can't stress that enough. :rock

Agreed. It IS flawless, perfect. I don't understand by people not wanting the cape....did they even read the comics? I. WANT. THIS. :rock

Agreed. There's no point in complaining about the cape when the character always wears it in the comics. In any case, this is a fantastic custom, and I'd buy it in a heartbeat if Sideshow were selling it.

Wasn't it more of a special lightweight metal mesh than a cape?

I'm not sure if they've ever actually said officially. The costume was either a Mardi GRAS costume or a Dia de Los Muertos costume (It's been a while since I read 2099) and I remember he wore it because the material it was made from wouldn't shred from his talons on his hands and feet. It's entirely possible but I don't think the 2099 universe was around long enough to get entirely deep in the ins and outs of the costuming like the original Spidey's

WOW! Is it me or are you actually getting better at this? Steve, your work is unreal. Every time I think you can't possibly top your last conversion, you do. Keep up the great work. I can't wait for your next project.

Thanks for the GiF creation KQ!

Are the eyes supposed to be blue or black? I see that the face is drawn in shadow, making a lot of the face which would be blue, in black shadow, but I can't help thinking that it would look more striking with black eyes. Also, I think that the section of red where his nose and mouth are could be reshaped a little. The line of blue looks either absolutely straight or tapering down to a point in the comic art, while in the sculpt, it gradually spreads apart. Also, that section is more dagger like in the art, whereas the sculpt has a shorter section down in that area. So close to perfection...

Ok, I modified it.

I also did one with black eyes.
