Re: Corrose Designs - Full Color Hot Toys Base Decals, Static Clings, Glow in the Dar

Ok, so in my search for the sleeveless shirt I wanted to do for Daryl I came across one that I personally loved, it has the tiny buttons, and the stitching is not really heavy. I decided to pick up 10 of these and offer a few to the community. The originals were very very dark green, so I wanted to offer some different looks for folks, so I used different bleaching techniques on each one, and weathered them with my airbrush a little different, because I know some folks prefer cleaner, some grungier.

2 of the 10 I bought are mine, the other 8 I'm selling and these are the first 4. It's first come first serve, and I will not be doing more of these later on.

Please EMAIL me ([email protected]) if you are interested in one, and do not paypal me anything until I confirm your choice is available. I say email because Im cleaning out my PM box about 3 times a day, and email is just easier to me.

In your email let me know which you are interested in.

Each shirt is $30 with fees and shipping included in the U.S. $31 outside the U.S.

Option 1 was bleached only, very clean looking
Option 2 was bleached and has very, very light blood misting
Option 3 was bleached and more heavily weathered with a soaked up blood look
Option 4 was bleached and was weathered to look like a more heavy saturation of blood, oils and there are some light rust looking spots on the back

Those look awesome man. If I was going for that look, I would be all over these but I am going for the season 3 brown cut-off shirt with the black vest over it.

Good luck though man!

Chris, you are a monster of a machine. You gots the golden touch!

Thanks, you guys are (with orders) putting me in a spot, very, very soon to be buying that 3D printer, it's the next equipment I'm lined up to buy. Almost there....

Re: Corrose Designs - Full Color Hot Toys Base Decals, Static Clings, Glow in the Dar

What kind of projects will you be able to do with the 3d printer?

Re: Corrose Designs - Full Color Hot Toys Base Decals, Static Clings, Glow in the Dar

I do a bit of 3D modeling, inorganic stuff (I don't do headsculpts, people etc). If you search for posts started by me you can look at the Dex Urn project I'm about to kick off, my Priest Vallon Staff run I did, and my Dex slide box project. All of these projects were designed in 3D by me and output to a 3D printing vendor. Ideally I'm hoping the quality on the printer I get is such, that I can cut the middle man out, and these kinds of projects will cost you guys less. So I pretty much intend to print 1/6 replicas and offer them to the community.

It's not super exciting, but I also recently bought a cold-laminator, so any kind of decal, or poster type print, I have the ability to add a 3 mil laminate to which makes the finished pieces a little thicker, a lot more scratch resistant and actually does increase the outdoor life by up to 2 additional years.

Ok, I meant to get these images up last night, but a man's gotta sleep sometime :)

So what we have here is a roll of backlit film I bought to do some test prints on. This is a matte finish film very similar to what they use in lightbox movie posters. It is a polyester film that can take full color solvent inks. When fully cured these prints are UV and water resistant. Seriously, I put a finished print under running water in my sink and it just beads right off.

I printed a test movie poster in 5"x7" and bought a 5x7 shadowbox from Target, frame is like $8. You have about 2 inches in this particular frame to install a light source. Most things from Ikea puck lighting, to EL panels work. I found that the 5x7 EL panels give the most even, amount of lighting.

I'm not going to be selling any lighting or frames, but I can definitely do some prints. These could look really cool hanging up behind 1/6 scale figures or propped up on stands!

And seriously....the resolution on these is amazing, the inks sit amazingly on the film and I'm super impressed with the results.

In the second shot thats just my fingers in the way, just to establish scale.

Those of you who ordered shirts WITH decals, they will be shipped separately, so you may get your decals a day early or after, depending on the post, so just a heads up.
