Re: Corrose's Workshop - Base Decals, 1/6 Custom Replicas and more!
Hey all,
I have posted this several times throughout the thread, and I am having my wife write up a FAQ of sorts that will be sent out as a form-letter type response because I get asked this way too much.
I do not control the post office and their shipping times. Due to their recent restructuring their delivery times seem to be impacted. Two worst case examples were a package sent to Germany which took almost 2 months, and I recently had some decals take 16 days to reach New York from Texas.
This is obviously worse than their usual times, but it happens. It doesn't mean your order is lost, it doesn't mean I need to send a replacement if something has not been received in 4 days.
Granted there have been a couple of cases where things simply never arrived, and I took care of those guys but that's a couple of times out of a few hundred individual orders. It's very, very rare the post just vanishes.
All prices use the most economical option possible to keep the cost down to you. With that comes their slowest available service. If anyone needs expedited shipping on an order, let me know about it, but it's a cost you will be covering. If I sell a $6 sticker, remove postage, remove envelope cost, remove paypal fees, remove ink and media costs, there's not much leftover, sending a replacement for something that is en-route makes me either break even, or lose money. If you are up to adding $6-7 on top of your order, I'm happy to rush it with tracking.
Also as of right now, I charge little to nothing for my time to design custom stuff, but my time is still being used and is still valuable to me as it takes away from my family life. As low as I feel the pricing is, if you have budgetary concerns, please bring them up beforehand. If I put 5 hours into designing something, and am asked to barter down on a $12 price-tag, that's a real frustration for me. I have bills like everyone, equipment to pay down, and new equipment I want to buy, I cannot do this breaking even, and I feel that my pricing is very reasonable. I'd rather someone walk away from a project from the start based on a price, than after I have invested time into it.
Please also know that in-general, if you order something already designed, the turn-time is about 24-48 hours. Requesting custom work, can take up to a week or more depending on backlog. I know people get excited about getting things they pay for, but it's not always feasible to give each person an individual update on when I actually finished something, when it got packaged up, and when it sent and what time, especially if I have 30-40 orders going out at the same time.
I try my hardest to keep everyone happy and informed, but this is all done in a small window of spare time in the evenings after work, my time can either be spent designing and producing new product, or spent posting followups. So I just ask that everyone bear with me, and know once you have paid, I'm taking care of you as quickly as I can, and that your order will be in your hands soon enough.
This will be the last time I type this whole bit up. I just want to explain before hand what the deal is, and know that if anyone asks me anything that has already been addressed, once my wife has the info sheets composed, you will be getting a link to view a general FAQ type document with answers to your questions.
As always stay tuned for updates, I am getting excited as May gets closer, cannot wait to be able to start offering 3D prints of some really cool 1/6 projects I have in mind!
