Good luck with the job hunt and congrats on your awesomeness in the paints class. If it helps hawkgirl is really amazing, I got her for such a steal from dcbservice that it's not even funny.

How much did you get her for?

Man that is a sweet deal!

Congratz!

When the heck are we going to start getting some bop cover girls?:impatient:

I wish bro ,but thanks did awesome in paints class and custom paints. I didn't have anyone give me Hawkgirl. Still happy and now the job hunt is on!

Congrats again, bro! Good luck with the job hunt! :rock :rock

$67.99 and $74 shipped

DCBS has some great prices! Congrats, G! :clap

I'm still waiting for BBTS to get her in stock. :impatient:

If BBTS hasn't received Hawkgirl yet, there's a pretty good chance you may not get yours. There were more orders than produced, and the've been allotted. My LCS store had 6 orders placed and only 2 came in.:lecture

DCD produced 5000 of these...I don't think I'm in any danger of missing out. :lol

Besides...If I can't get it through BBTS I'll get in somewhere else. :lecture

Don't be fooled by the production number on these. Truth be told that most times these numbers are not met, and the remaining pieces may be damaged en route.

This is just information provided to me by two different sources.
First, my LCS friend informed me about this; as his supplier from Diamond educated him (as his friend works for D.C. Direct). Everything from determining the edition size, to the re-soliciting of a piece, to the actual quantity produced. And there's the damaged pieces that are not reproduced.
THEN my other friend in the business says "rarely are there 5000 pieces that are actually produced". An edition size may sell-out due to miscalculation, OR are made to order; which is most common during these troubled economic times. A 5000 unit tag is most likely rounded-up from an actual 4500 run. Poor sales of a particular item (which they will re-solicit), or quality control issues during production are the causes for a "late" release.
Hawkgirl met her order numbers, and many didn't survive the return trip overseas. Great sales may warrant a re-release.
Definitely not speculation, but hearsay. :lecture

I'm sure the ACTUAL artists/manufacturers that frequently post on this Forum (using many different alias') could shed some light on the subject.

So what you're saying is that everything you posted from your "sources" is just unsubstantiated & uncorroborated rumor. Righty-o. :lol :lol :lol

Got Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman 600. Both are pretty nice. Hawkgirl may be my new favorite Covergirl.
